MANY THANKS, The Surrey Blues Committee 2 Surrey Blues Season 2017/18 Surrey Blues Overview: The programme focuses on enabling young adults with a range of learning difficulties and/or learning disabilities to participate in organised coaching and fun footballing activities, in a safe, caring and enjoyable environment designed to maximize player’s abilities. The scheme offers a vibrant football for all educational and social programme supporting Adult players, as well as running weekend football fun festivals and a coaching programme for young adult players interested in further developing football and independence skills. The programme aims to give each player: * A structured specialist coaching programme with experienced disability coaches, developing individual, team and game skills for all levels of abilities. * A challenging range of competitive regional and national fixtures, ability banded to suit the needs of each individual. * An opportunity to compete against local top teams in the Surrey Football Association Football-For-All program. Subs are paid either: Yearly Payment Term 1 Payment Term 2 Payment If you only play Friday or Sunday £75 £40 £35 If you play both Friday and Sunday £100 £50 £50 Or All subs should be paid by the second training session of each term. September – December and January – March Anyone who feels they are not able to pay subs in a lump sum can pay weekly with prior agreement; the amount will be decided between the player and Denise Heffernan, our Welfare Officer. If anyone feels that they are unable to pay subs due to severe hardship please speak to Denise Heffernan or one of the Surrey Blues Trustees. We do at times have sponsorship for players who may be struggling. Players are expected to: 1. Provide a bottle containing water to drink during breaks 2. Wear shin pads – players will not be permitted to train or take part in any games without shin pads. 3. Inform Surrey Blues of any new medical conditions 4. If I do not, I understand I may be asked to return home unaccompanied at my own expense. 1. Instructions given by the coaches/committee must be complied with at all times. 2. Players should present themselves at ALL times in an acceptable manner; both dress and conduct. 3. Substances/items which are illegal in the UK will not be purchased, consumed or held at any time during the visit. Any player taking prescribed medication must inform the tutor in charge of the nature of the prescription. 4. Players are personally held responsible and liable if they lose or damage either their own or another person’s property. 5. During any time that the players are not supervised by the coaches/committee – i.e. FREE OR UNSUPERVISED TRAVEL TIME – they are responsible for their own actions to ensure that they respect the health and safety of themselves and others. Coaches cannot be held responsible for accidents, loss or damaged caused or sustained by any player. Any criminal action by the player will be reported to the authorities. When travelling abroad players must also recognise that they are subject to the laws and systems which prevail in that country. Any costs associated with such action will be the responsibility of players/parents. 6. All players should be punctual at all times.
