For anyone not willing to bid, once the bid process is finished, the facilities are available for
2014 rentals starting Dec. 2, 2013. If a weekend or quad isn’t listed that you would prefer to bid
on, please list date and field preference.
After the bid process is finished, winning bidders will be notified to negotiate a contract.
Information Requested
Qualifications should address:
1) Management profile: Briefly describe your business/management team and individuals.
Address the size, experience and years of service of your business/management team.
2) Communication: How will contact with our department occur throughout the duration of
the dates provided? Describe the communication between you and the teams prior, during
and post tourney.
3) Provide qualifications as a tourney director and/or business.
4) References: Provide names and information of appropriate contacts in relation to former
tourneys, city or county agencies, state agencies, or past employers.
5) Provide opportunities of future ideas or post season play for our community.
6) The tournament director will work with our local umpire contact, Topeka Premier
Umpire Association in relation to scheduling umpires for tournaments.
7) Descriptions of how you identify, qualify, or recruit potential teams for the tourney dates.
8) Describe how you will work with local hotels, businesses, restaurants, to involve or
promote the sponsorships they provide.
9) Please mark the dates requested, the compensation to the county and the number of teams
expected.

Bettis Family Sports Complex

Two (2) concession stands, ticket booth, multiple paved parking lots, restrooms are located in the middle of the quad
and south end of the complex. Complex is located near Northeast corner of Lake Shawnee, easily accessible from I70; Retail shopping, hotels, restaurants all within five (5) minutes of the fields.

throughout duration of each game.

Bleacher seating for 300 spectators plus other great viewing areas for lawn chairs; backstop netting allowing
for optimal spectator viewing
Sound system with PA and audio hookups available
Scoreboard and programmable marquee in centerfield
Field turf infield, foul lines, and warning track; natural grass outfield, clay mound
