West Yarmouth Woman Buys $4,000,000 Winning Lottery Ticket At New Bedford Store Laura Mendosa of West Yarmouth is the first $4 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “$4,000,000 Bonus Cash” instant ticket game that went on sale February 28. Mendosa chose the cash option on her prize and received a onetime payment of $2,600,000 (less tax withholdings). She plans on using some of her winnings to travel. Her winning ticket was purchased at Lyndon’s Convenience Store, 3963 Acushnet Ave. in New Bedford. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for its sale. Four additional $4 million prizes and fifteen $1 million prizes remain in the “$4,000,000 Bonus Cash” $10 instant game. A lottery representative will be at Lyndon’s Convenience Store, 3963 Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford, to present a banner to Mr. Patel to hang at his store on Friday, March 10th at 1:30pm.
