After School Plans
After school plans are VERY important to have clear with your children. Please ensure your
child and their teacher know the plan and if the plan is changed to ensure that it has been communicated much earlier than 3:20. This will ensure we do not have a backup with buses as we
are looking for students or students waiting at the school without anyone there to get them for a
long period of time. A reminder if your child is sick that a call to the school has been made and
that it is noted that they will not be on the bus.
A Big Thank You!!
A big thank you to our Local Tisdale Enrichment Fund for providing the opportunity to bring
in the OSAC Junior Concert Tour on March 23. The
funding they provided allowed all of our students
from Kindergarten to grade 5 as well as our staff to
enjoy the Red Sky Performance of Mistatim!
Grade 4-5 Recess Floor Hockey League
The TES Grade 4-5 Recess Floor Hockey League, with the catchy acronym TESGFFRFHL, finished another season. This year featured 70 students as well as 3
teachers who have yet to grow up. Congratulations to the Hurricanes for winning the league
championship! They played so well that they deserve to be re-named the Canadiens. Currently
the grade 3s are in the midst of their floor hockey season (the TESGTRFHL). There are 48
grade 3s signed up.

Mr.
A Few Points…..
*
Boys and Girls club for grade 2 students will be starting after the Easter break.
Permission forms will be sent home during the first week of April.
*
Milk Spirit will be taking place April 3-7 and will kick off with Black and White Spirit
Day on Monday, April 5th. There will be different activities taking place throughout the week
and students will have lots of chances to win prizes.
*
A big thank you to TMSS Safe Grad for donating to our lunch program.
*
We would like to wish our TES Archery Team all the best as they are attending
provincials on April 1st in Melfort. We are very proud of you all. Good Luck!
*
Reminder – Please ensure that students are dressed each day for the weather. This would
include splash pants, warm, rubber boots, mitts and a hooded jacket or toque. All footwear and
outdoor clothing should have names put inside to avoid the loss of or confusion as to who items
belong to.
*
Parking – a friendly reminder to not be parking in the no parking areas in front of the
school or in the staff parking lot.
*
Thank you to those that donated material to the school to be able to create sensory
pillows and blankets for students. It is greatly appreciated. As we have more to create we will
be looking for volunteers to assist us in sewing some more. If you are interested, please contact
Mrs. Lair or Mrs. Norum.
Attendance
We are so excited about how our attendance has improved the last few months since we implemented the monthly attendance awards. Thank you in assisting to ensure your children come
to school each day. Congratulations to the following students that received the Golden Ticket
Golden Ticket Attendance Winners for February
Congratulations to all of the students who had perfect attendance for the month of February!
TES will be FIT FOR 15
In our effort to continually promote physical fitness at Tisdale Elementary School, we are
continuing a program from last year called Fit For Fifteen. The program is designed to have
students stay active for the morning and afternoon for their 15-minute recess times.
We will track the student’s level of activity by having each student (who
chooses to participate) wear a lanyard with a punch card during their
fitness time. The participating students will receive a small token(s)
acknowledging their “milage” milestones.
We are excited to start this program in the next few weeks (melting and
puddle dependant) and would like to extend it into mid-June.
