him.

• It is the oldest martial art in the world.
• It is said that kung fu and karate has originated
from kalariyapattu.
• In this two or more warriors can’t attack a single
warrior.
• No one should kill a opponent who has
surrendered or unconscious.
• Warrior and opponent must have the same
weapon.

• It is a weapon based martial art.
• It usually consists of a 3 feet bamboo staff.
• The objective is to disarm the opponent by
hitting the stick hard and sending it flying.
• We should not move out away from the ring.
• It was banned during the british period but
was later revived.

• It is the oldest unarmed martial art.
• In this one had to fight until the opponent
gives up or dies.
• One must defeat his opponent by crushing
him to death or breaking his bones or pushing
the opponent out of the ring.
• The greatest player of this sport was Bhima
the pandava.
