AM CENTERS:
Housekeeping Center: Doll House with Accessories, Dramatic Play, Kitchen
Fine Motor Center: Puzzles, interlocking blocks, attribute blocks, lacing cards/beads, and more
Block Center: Blocks, tools, cars, trucks, Lego’s, Lincoln Logs, and more
Art/Writing Center: Easel, paint, collage items, ink pads, glue, construction paper, magazines, scissors, bingo
markers, stickers, glitter, and more
Gross Motor/Sensory Activities: Playground: swings, jungle gym, bikes, wagons, sand, water, and more
LARGE GROUP TIME:
-Morning Greetings: identify who came to school today and greet them; count the number of boys and the number
of girls; add numbers together to identify how many friends came to school “altogether”; count how many friends
did not come to school today.
-“Pledge of Allegiance”
-Calendar: identify the month, date, day of the week, and special events during the week;
-Exercise with dice (arm circles, bicycle pedaling in the air, push-ups, marching, jumping jacks, cross and touch our
toes).
-Transitional Activity-Students will roll the “gross motor” dice and follow the directions.
SNACK:
The class is divided amongst 3 small tables. Students will work on verbally, requesting snack items from peers,
pouring liquid juice and/or water from a small pitcher, and scooping their snack onto their paper towel, using a large
spoon.

EARLY LITERACY with Miss Megan(6 students)
Table Activity: Students will squeeze lotion into a muffin tin and add drops of food coloring to each space.
Activity: Lotion Paint: Students will be provided with paint brushes and craft sticks, as well as, wax paper, tin foil,
and cardboard. Students will experiment with mixing the colors into the lotion, and painting designs on the different
textures of materials, for a messy sensory experience.

COGNITIVE LEARNING with Miss Sam (6 students)
Table Activity: Students will choose a bingo card and count out 8 tokens.
Activity: ABC Bingo: Students will play the bingo game, and when someone yells, “Bingo”, they will choose a
letter from their playing card, and think of something that begins with the letter they chose. Students will then, draw
a picture related to the word they chose.

second set of small groups.
2nd SET OF SMALL GROUPS-same teacher teaches same category, and the groups
of students rotate.

Students will then, add fun foam to their sand.
Activity: Sand Foam: Students will mix the foam into the sand, using cooking spoons. Students can then, engage in
sensory play, using their hands or spoons. They can extend the activity and pretend they are cooking in the
housekeeping center.

“PLAN-DO-RECALL”: ALL STUDENTS WILL TELL THEIR PARTICULAR SMALL GROUP TEACHER, WHAT THEY WILL
WORK ON OUTSIDE, AND WHO THEY WILL INCLUDE TO WORK ON IT WITH.
PLAYGROUND
Students will work on their small and large muscles, as they explore the playground equipment, on their own.
Students will then wash their hands and go potty, as they transition to the rug, for large group time.
LUNCH:
Students learn to eat their “GO” light foods first, then their “SLOW” or “WHOA” light foods. After lunch, students
will clean their space, wash their hands, and go potty, as they transition out to the playground.
