If you will be in grades 7-12 next year and are interested in cheering
please pick up a cheerleading packet in the Athletic Office, Middle
School Office or High School Office. ​Please read the packet
completely and follow the directions. ​ All forms must be returned to
the Athletic Office by the end of the day on ​Wednesday, March 8. ​NO
EXCEPTIONS. Don’t wait to ask questions.
There be a parent meeting in the HS cafeteria on Monday, March 6 at
6pm to talk about cheerleading requirements for try-outs and next year.

season official practice will begin on Monday March 6th at

Concussion Video
**Spring Season “Concussion Video” Session / Thursday March 2, 6:00pm in Mr. Brookharts
room (next to HS library).
-Attendance for the “concussion video” is required for any parent of a Spring Athlete who did
not attend a previous session.
Winter Sports Awards
The 2016-17 Winter Sports awards will be held on Tuesday March 14th @ 6:30pm in the HS
gym.
Sports Physicals for Spring Athletes
Students planning to participate in a spring sport will need a valid physical form on file in the
Athletic office before participating in team activities. A valid physical is good for one year
from the date of the physical examination. Stop into the athletic office with any questions
concerning the expiration date of a physical form on file.

For Your Information
Athletic fees must be paid before the first contest. You can set up a payment
plan in the Athletic Office but this must be done and first payment received
before the first contest. Participation in Spring Athletics may not begin until all
Winter fees have been paid.
Eligibility, 7-8, as stated by the OHSAA is: students entering the 7th grade will
automatically be eligible for the first grading period regardless of academic
achievement. Thereafter, in order to be eligible, a student in 7th –8th grade must
be passing a minimum of five (5) classes.
Eligibility, 9-12, as stated by OHSAA is: a student must be passing a minimum of
five (5) classes, which would earn one (1) credit for the year or one-half (1/2)
credit for semester grading. Physical Education is a one quarter (1/4) credit class
therefore you must still pass five (5) additional classes. 8th grade students
entering the 9th grade must pass 5 classes in the fourth quarter of their 8th grade
year.
