Teams can use a maximum of 24 players in each game they
play. To play players must be registered with AFLT.
Players who have permit or clearances lodged may play.
Teams must submit a team sheet to the umpire and
timekeeper prior to each game they play.
To play in the grand final game a player must have played at
least one lead up game prior
All lead up games will be 2 x 15 minute halves.
The grand final will be 2 x 20 minute halves.
Half time for all games will be of 5 minutes duration
There will be no time-on in any games, however, umpires have
the sole discretion to call time-on in the advent of major delay
in game, e.g. lost footy, player injury.
A player given a yellow card may not take any further part in
the game they are sent off in, but may play in further matches.
A player given a red card may not play again in the Blitz.
Any player currently suspended cannot play in the Blitz.
All games are sanctioned by AFLQ, so players can be reported
under normal playing rules and regulations.
Any goal kicked from outside the 50m arc will be deemed a
super goal and awarded 9 points.
All other normal playing rules apply, inclusive of the new
rushed behind rule and 50m downfield rule.
A points table will be calculated if two three teams finish on
the same points. Percentage points may be used to determine
the two Grand final teams if required

Welcome back to footy…..
As hosts of the inaugural Troy Williams The Good Guys
Blitz, the University Hawks Football Club welcomes all
players, coaches, officials and supporters to the Blitz. The
Blitz has been created to bring everyone together to
celebrate the start of the AFL season in Townsville, whilst
also showcasing the leagues’ teams to potential new
players. We trust everyone enjoys a great day of footy.
The Good Guys Blitz Trophies
The two highest ranked teams at the completion of the
round robin series will play off in the grand final. The
winning club shall receive a championship cup and $250
prize money. The runners-up receive $150.
The player adjudged best afield by the umpires in the grand
final will receive a medal and a $250 voucher “ thanks to
Troy Williams the Good Guys!!
