Weekly Report 11/16-11/20
7th B Girls’ BB vs Long
The 7th grade B Team opened their season with a
victory against Long by a score of 16-5. The Lady
Eagles struggled to begin the game and found
themselves quickly behind by a score of 3-0. In the
second quarter they found their grove and took the
lead and never looked back. Leading scorers were
Maria Cruz, Isariya Martinez, and LuLu Pineda who
all had 4 points each.
7th A Girls’ BB vs Long
The A-team opened their season with a 12-8 win
over the Long Falcons. Adeeah Cobb led the Lady
Eagles with an impressive 8 points. Sofia Perez and
Adaiah Kirby each finished with 2 points each.
Corina Anaya and Brianna Campos were the
defensive players of the game.
8th B Girls’ BB vs Long
Last night the 8th Grade Lady Eagle B – Basketball
Team beat Long by a score of 20 to 8. The game
wasn’t always pretty but the effort and
determination were keys to the win. Led by the
MVP of the game Celina Montoya who scored 10
points and Jayda Daniel with 6 points, the Eagles
were never really threatened. Others contributing
to the scoring were Melissa Rodelo and Lorynn
Violante who both scored 2 points each.
8th A Girls’ BB vs Long
The 8th grade A Team destroyed Long in their
season opener with a score of 27-2. The Lady
Eagles held the led the entire game not letting their
opponent score a single point during the first 3
quarters. MVP of the game was Rosalyn Ventura
scoring a career high 16 points! Anesiah Cooper,
Juliana Neeley and Ranesha Finch dominated the
boards; while Jaelyn Lewis played outstanding
defense throughout the game.
7th B Boys’ BB vs Long
The 7th grade B team boys flew into Long last night
to win 23-22. The players of the game were
Emmanual Belmonte for his great shooting, Brian
Arreguin for his stout defensive play under the
basket, and Angel Gutierrez for his steal in the last 7
seconds and finishing with the buzzer beating layup
to win the game.
7th A Boys’ BB vs Long
The Eagles 7th grade A boys basketball team
flew into Long to overcome an 11-0 deficit to
win 34-26. They were led by Teabow Tagnons
17 points and Markus Jenga's 3 clutch 3
pointers. Reese Parrott and Jacob Von Tress
led the attack on the boards.
8th B Boys’ BB vs Long
The boys came out strong, but fell behind and
were unable to get back into the game. Every
single guy played hard and we never quit. We
look forward to a nice break before resuming
our season against Polk at home.
8th A Boys’ BB vs Long
The 8th Grade Eagles A team traveled to Dan F. Long
last night to take on the Falcons. The team started
hot with a 10-0 lead. Long fought back though and
climbed to a big lead. The Eagles never quit, and
answered back with a 13-point 4th quarter but in the
end, the Falcons pulled away with a 43 to 30 win.
The player of the game was Domani Villaruel with
15 points.
