INVITATION FOR SEALED BID PACKET #3-14 SURPLUS AUCTION
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
Ingham County is seeking sealed bids for the sale of surplus items including vehicles. All items and
vehicles are sold “as is”. Please do not call the Purchasing Department for surplus item or vehicle
information. All known information is listed on the enclosed Price Sheet. Please note that the information
may or may not be accurate, it is the responsibility of the bidder to verify information. No driving of cars will
be permitted.

Other surplus items will be auctioned as bulk items and viewed by appointment. For an appointment email

DUE DATE, PLACE
Sealed bids are due no later than 11:00 a.m. on November 17, 2014, in the Purchasing Department, 121
East Maple Street, Room 203, P.O. Box 319, Mason, Michigan 48854.
Any bids received after the time and date specified will be rejected. Any bids delivered to a location other
than the Purchasing address will be rejected. Faxed bids will not be accepted.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Bidders must complete the enclosed Price Sheet for submission of bid. All submissions must be signed,
dated and contact information provided. Please print legibly. To submit a bid, place your Price Sheet in a
sealed envelope, write on the envelope “PACKET #3-14 Surplus Auction” and then write your name in the
upper left hand corner. Turn it in to the Purchasing Department at the address listed above.
NOTIFICATION OF AWARD
Award will be made to the highest bidder and will be considered individually, not by a total of all items. You
will be required to submit payment for all items that you have the highest bid on; therefore, only bid
on those vehicles you want and can afford. There are no minimum or maximum amounts required on
vehicles. If you decide that you do not want a vehicle after you are contacted that you are the highest bidder,
you will be banned from bidding on County auctions for a period of not less than five years.
REMOVAL DATE
Surplus Items and Vehicles must be removed from Ingham County Property within ten (10) business days
after agreement and acceptance of bid. Please note some vehicles may require towing.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Successful bidder shall present a certified check issued to “Ingham County Treasurer” for the total amount
of the awarded vehicle(s) before receiving any titles, keys and vehicles. Payments shall be delivered to
Ingham County Purchasing, PO Box 319, 121 East Maple Street, Room 203, Mason Michigan 48854. Only
after receipt of payment will the Ingham County Purchasing Department issue the keys and titles to the
awarded bidder.
RIGHTS RESERVED BY OWNER
Ingham County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, and to negotiate the terms and
conditions of all or any part of the bid as determined to be in the best interest of the County in its sole
discretion.

All vehicles are available for viewing at the Ingham County Annex parking lot 430 N. Cedar Street, Mason,
Michigan, 48854. Do not call the office for pricing or vehicle information. Photos are posted online at

Price Sheet. Items and Vehicles are sold “as is” and information provided may not be accurate. No other
information is available. Ingham County does not have recall information on the items listed for auction.
