Note: Under 3.13.3(l1) of the NER, AEMO is entitled to charge a fee to recover all reasonable
costs incurred in providing information to a Registered Participant.
1. AEMO categorizes load flows into two categories based on system topology they represent.
The two categories are:
System snapshot based on the system topology at the time of the snapshot.
Bus numbers are less consistent between cases (compared to ‘System normal’) as bus
numbers are assigned or removed from the case to accommodate the changes in topology.
System normal based on a nominated “normal” system topology.
These are available for snapshots recorded after summer 2012/2013. They represent the
nominal topologies of the various parts of the National Electricity Market (NEM). Bus
numbers for these cases are more consistent between cases (compared to ‘System
snapshot’).
2. The standard load flows are for National Electricity Market summer high demand, summer
low demand, winter high demand, winter low demand, spring high demand, spring low
demand, autumn high demand and autumn low demand conditions. These standard load
flows are provided for the System Normal configuration only, based on a nominated
“normal” system topology at the time.
A fee of $500 plus GST will be charged per request for this set of load flows.
3. Other ad hoc data requests will be charged, based on actual hours for preparing the
requested information, at $200/hour with a minimum charge of $200. Any ad hoc data
request that include load flow snapshot files will be charged at a minimum fee of $500 (all
costs are excluding GST).
