Manpower
Substantial support is required and arranged from CERN services: Drawing Office, Purchase Office,
Cooling and Ventilation, Cabling, Central Workshop.
Thanks to the modularity and the large number of parts provided by industry as “ready to install” devices
the average manpower required from the RF Group can be limited:

Conclusion
Thanks to the prototyping work done so far as well as the experience
gained in the manufacturing and testing processes, the design
finalization of the Finemet based PSB RF system and PS Longitudinal
damper now requires a limited effort.
The industrial procurement of all relevant items for the ELENA RF
system represents a realistic test of the manufacturing and testing
documentation as well as a validation of the purchasing procedures and
prices.
All this allowed establishing realistic price estimations and schedules:
• the prices are compatible with the budgets allocated for the
renovation programs.
• the manpower can be allocated from the BE-IS section resources.
