Select whether you are a trade
association/ federation or a
construction employer.
If you are neither of the above, you
are not eligible to submit an
application.
Eligibility
Confirm that you meet the eligibility
criteria.
If you cannot answer ‘yes’ to all
questions here you will not be able to
proceed
Basic details
Here we need the name of your business
or organisation and its address.
If you are an employer, we will also need
your CITB registration number and the
number of people you directly employ.
Then tell us which region or nation the
project will take place in, and how you
heard about the skills and training fund
option.
Contact details
Please provide contact details of the
person in your business organisation
submitting the application.
The person submitting the form must
be employed by the applicant
organisation.
We’ll use these details for all
correspondence.
The application form will automatically
save at this point.
You will be emailed with a unique
reference that can be used to retrieve
your application and continue with it at
a later date.
Project description
Select from the drop down menus your
intended project start and end date.
The duration of your project should be
no longer than 18 months.
Go on then to tell us about the projects
aims and activities, listing each thing
you will do, or training activity you will
deliver.
Deliverables & beneficiaries
Tell us which groups will benefit from your project.
You must select at least one beneficiary group
from the list, provide the number of people who
will benefit and explain how they will benefit.
Please use numbers not words to tell us how many
will benefit.

Statement of need
Clearly describe why you are applying for
funding and what training needs are being
addressed by the activities you will
deliver.
Tell us why there is a need for the course
or courses, and what will it mean to for
the beneficiaries you have described to
receive this training.
We would like to know what issues you
have identified within your own
organisation or part of the industry, and
how this funding will address those issues.
Activities
Tell us the name of each training course,
the duration in days or months, and the
costs of each course.
In the section ‘CITB contribution to
costs’ please enter the amount of
funding you’re asking for from CITB.
Click on ‘add row’ for each new course
you list.
Value for money
Here we are ensuring the courses we
fund provide value for money, by
asking you to show us that they align
with market rates.
Provide the name of the provider you
are using, the course they have quoted
for, the cost and the date of the quote.
Then, go on to provide quotes from
other providers for similar courses to
show that the one you have chosen
provides value for money.
CITB Industry Priorities
CITB has six priorities for industry to
which it delivers funding.

Review, save & submit
When you have completed your
application, review it thoroughly.
When you are happy with the
content, click ‘submit’.
You will then receive an automated
delivery receipt confirming your
submission.
