Game Change Conference 2016, Thursday, October 13th
Workshop Proposal
The Game Change Conference is a collaborative Northeast Ohio product with the purpose of
providing professional development opportunities through the exploration of current LGBTQ
issues. Attendees will participate in a variety of learning formats, including discussion and faceto-face networking. The Conference is designed to develop professional competencies,
challenge perspectives on LGBTQ issues and influence practices. We are seeking proposals for
programs focused on the following issues throughout the LGBTQ lifespan:
Civic Action/Leadership Focused on community engagement and how to work for/facilitate
change in your area.
Workplace/School Focused on LGBTQ inclusion in the workplace or school environment, or
working with LGBTQ teens.
Health/Health Care Focused on working with LGBTQ population as patients and health
issues in the LGBTQ community.
Legal Issues Focused on the legal issues and concerns faced by LGBT population.
We request presentations to be designed as lectures on research, best practices and other
topics; interactive workshops; or other training formats targeted at professionals, attorneys,
social workers, educators and health care workers. Each presentation is approximately 90
minutes but may be adjusted depending on schedule and availability. Proposals intended as
accredited CEU and CLE Seminars for social workers and attorneys will take precedent.
Proposals must be submitted electronically no later than July 31st, 2016 to [email protected].
Decisions will be emailed on or before August 15th, 2016.
