ST. THERESA SCHOOL SCRIP PROGRAM - 2014 / 2015 On behalf of the St. Theresa Parents Club we welcome you to the St. Theresa Scrip Program. Each family is required to purchase Scrip in an amount that will generate $250 towards the School. You also have the option to “buyout” of the program and make a donation of $300 towards the Scrip program. Please refer to your signed contract for the upcoming school year to see which option you selected. Our Scrip year runs from May 1, 2014 through April 30, 2015. During that time period you will receive credit towards your $250 family commitment through various ways. These include eScrip contributions from various merchants (including Safeway), purchases made at Lucky stores with a Lucky SHARES card, Target purchases made through their RED Card, Onecause contributions through the onecause.com website, weekly scrip purchases made through St. Theresa, and special monthly Scrip purchases made through St. Theresa. Special (monthly) Scrip may be purchased via the special scrip order form or on-line through shopwithscrip.com. Weekly scrip may be purchased via the weekly scrip order form. Both forms are available on the St. Theresa School website. Please note that there are different reporting periods for the various Scrip components. These reporting periods are highlighted in the attached documents. During the upcoming school year, please watch for Scrip program updates in the weekly family envelope, weekly Principal’s Newsletter, and St. Theresa Parents Club Yahoo group notices. Please contact me with any questions. And thank you for your support! Best Regards, Tracy Ramsey [email protected] St. Theresa Scrip Program 2014/2015 1 of 6 April 2014 COMMITMENT Parent(s) or Guardian(s) shall either participate in the School’s SCRIP program by purchasing SCRIP in an amount that will generate $250 or donate $300 to the SCRIP program. SCRIP donations in lieu of participation in the program are due by September 30, 2014. The SCRIP year begins May 1, 2014 and ends April 30, 2015. Should a family fail to generate a minimum of $100 the family will be assessed the $300 buy-out. If the amount generated is more than $100 but less than $250 the family is assessed the difference between the amount raised and $250. St. Theresa Scrip Program 2014/2015 3 of 6 April 2014 Here's How it Works You register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty (e.g. Safeway), debit and credit cards for use in the program (including those of relatives, neighbors and friends). Participating merchants will make contributions to your chosen group, based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered. Your purchases are tracked and available to you online, allowing you to see just how much you are earning on your child's behalf! The reporting period for eScrip contributions runs from February 1, 2014 – January 31, 2015. For example, once you register your Safeway Club Card with eScrip when you shop at Safeway you can pay with any form of payment that you want (EXCEPT A CREDIT CARD – Safeway implemented this change on 11/1/2013) and as long as you show your registered Club Card (or key in your phone number) St. Theresa School will receive rebates. You can register credit cards, debit cards and Safeway Club Cards, with eScrip by logging on to www.escrip.com and following the easy prompts for registering. The St. Theresa ID number is 0130515067. The process is simple and fast, and, once completed, you start supporting St. Theresa School without any further effort on your part. When you receive a new credit or debit card please remember to add it to your eScrip account. IMPORTANT REMINDER – PLEASE LOG ON TO RENEW YOUR SAFEWAY CARD BY NOVEMBER 1 EACH YEAR IN ORDER TO CONTINUE CONTRIBUTIONS. IT’S FAST AND EASY! You can earn 3% in contributions from your grocery shopping at Lucky through the Save Mart S.H.A.R.E.S. Card Program. S.H.A.R.E.S. is an acronym for Supporting Humanities, Arts, Recreation, Education & Sports in our community. You must obtain a S.H.A.R.E.S. card from the St. Theresa scrip coordinator and present the card every time you shop in order to receive contributions. You do not need to register your card – you can begin to use it immediately. Please be sure to save the last receipt of the month and submit it to the red counter with your family name, grade level, and phone number in an envelope labeled “SCRIP –SHARES Card Receipt.” Monthly receipts are due by the 15th of the following month. Please send an email to Tracy Ramsey at [email protected] if you would like a card or need further details on use of the card and tracking contributions. The reporting period for Lucky SHARES contributions runs from April 1, 2014 – March 31, 2015. St. Theresa Scrip Program 2014/2015 4 of 6 April 2014 OneCause provides a single place to shop at hundreds of well-known merchants and earn contributions to the St. Theresa Scrip program. All you need to do is go to www.onecause.com, register and designate St. Theresa School in Oakland, CA as your beneficiary of funds. Then, select the merchant that you want to make a purchase from and start your shopping. OneCause also offers coupons and deals to save money on your everyday purchases. At this time they do not offer a software you can download that will re-direct you through their site if you forget to route a participating merchant through their site; however, they do offer their own toolbar. By simply installing the OneCause Toolbar, you'll be making sure every eligible purchase counts, which could result in up to 5x more contributions, plus you can contribute up to 2 cents per qualified Yahoo! search. The reporting period for OneCause contributions runs from January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2014. If you are a Target shopper and have one of their REDcards (i.e., Target Visa Credit Card, Target Credit Card and/or Target Check/Debit Card) you can earn scrip contribution credit for St. Theresa School. The first step is to enroll your card(s) in Target’s “Take Charge of Education” program. You can do this by calling 1-800-316-6142, or by logging onto www.target.com, clicking on “redcards” in the top bar and then clicking on “Sign in or Enroll” along the left sidebar. From there you can designate St. Theresa School (ID# 3084) as the recipient of your contributions earned. I believe you can also apply for a REDcard online if you don’t already have one. Once you have registered your card(s) in the program, you will need you to print out the verification that shows St. Theresa School designated and send it to the St. Theresa Scrip coordinator. Without this verification, you will not receive Target contribution credit. In order for you to then get credit for contributions earned you must complete an Excel spreadsheet available on the St. Theresa Parents’ Club section of the school website. You must complete the spreadsheet and provide the appropriate back-up in order to receive credit. “Appropriate back-up” means copies of the detail of your actual credit card statements from Target, or, in the case of Target’s check/debit card copies of ALL shopping receipts. Without this back-up, you will not receive credit. There are six months covered on the tracking spreadsheet St. Theresa Scrip Program 2014/2015 5 of 6 April 2014 and you can complete and submit the information on whatever schedule works best for you (i.e., you can do it monthly or any variation up to the total of six months). The reporting period for Target RED card contributions runs from March 1, 2014 through February 28, 2015. Don’t forget that Lands’ End is our uniform vendor!!!! Gift cards are available to purchase monthly through shopwithscrip.com as well as through ScripNow!. We also offer Lands’ End gift cards through our Weekly Scrip program, and occasionally through Special Promotions at the Red Counter. Lands’ End provides a 16% rebate on every purchase ($25 and $100 denominations available). It’s a great way to earn toward your $250 Scrip commitment. Regular paper Scrip and special Scrip are the most profitable way to meet your family commitment. Many special scrip vendors have high earning percentages. We need every family to remember Scrip when shopping. We all shop for groceries, clothing and other items, so why not make a contribution to St. Theresa School at the same time? Remember, merchants make a donation for every purchase made with scrip AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO YOU! Any questions? Please contact Tracy Ramsey at [email protected].
