2017 Captain’s Draft
Captains will draft their teams the morning of the event. Which players will rise to the
challenge after being passed over? Who will falter after being chosen in the first round?
Each team will compete against the rest of the field in this two net best of four event.
When:
Saturday, May 13
8:30 am - Breakfast
9:00 am - Captain’s Draft (Captains Occurs Behind Closed Doors)
9:30 am – Draft Results Revealed
10:00 am - Shotgun
Format:
Net Two Best Ball of Foursome
Each player plays their own ball the entire round. The two lowest
individual net scores on a particular hole serves as the team score for that
hole.
Team Formation:
Team captains will be the lowest handicapped players in the field. The
highest handicapped captain will receive the first choice of players. The
second highest handicapped player will choose second. The draft will
proceed in this fashion until every captain has made one selection. At the
completion of the first round of drafting, the order reverses, and the lowest
handicapped player will receive the first pick in the second round with the
round proceeding in reverse order of round one. The third round will again
reverse the order as will the fourth.
Handicapping:
Each player will receive 90% of their Course Handicap in
accordance with USGA Handicapping guidelines.
Tees:
Men will play from the Blue tees.
Seniors 65 & Over may play from the Hybrid or White tees (Please let the
Professional Staff know as your cards will need to be adjusted.)
Ladies will play from the Red tees.
