What is mission maker?
Well Mission maker is a type of gaming software which gives students and teachers tools to create a 3D game. It
allows the player to start their game off from scratch and create a gaming world full of amusement. Mission maker
allows you to do anything imaginative from putting your own photos on there to downloading a video of yourself to
act as props.
In this user manual it will explain how to play part of the game linked with suicide as part of our Medical
ethics in R.S seeing as no one from the rest of our group built the same part of the game therefore have no
experience.
Game Software
If you want to play this game and don’t have it on your computer already then you must download
“mission player” off this website http://www.immersiveeducation.com/missionmaker/player/. This will
then allow you to play and create a game.
When you have got to the homepage of Mission maker, click on “download Mission Player” down in the
bottom right hand corner.... then begin the process of loading and waiting!

When playing the game it is vital to know what the controls are therefore we will show you the basics,
without knowing the controls you could be stuck playing the game therefore risk losing.
Movement Controls: keyboard arrow keys
To move the player around, you need to use the keyboard and arrows

Up: Forward
Down: Backwards
Left: Turns left
Right: Turns right
This is where the arrows
are on the keyboard. (Highlighted green)
If you want to do it manually then use W (forward), A (left), S (backwards), D (right). These are show in
colours red, blue, pink and yellow.

To use other commands, here is a table to show you which letters manage each control. The table shows
you a colour chart on the right and these colours will be transferred on the pictured keyboard to show you
each control on how to play the game.

To rotate the player either to pick up objects or walk In general, you must right click on your mouse and
drag around until you decide to stop moving.

To pick up an object, the player has to drag the item into the pickup toolbar which is located at the
bottom of the screen in the centre. To use the item just click use.
