Dear Parent
Your child has been invited to attend the Match day experience for the ABSA Curries Cup Game against the Golden
Lions at the Kings Park Stadium on Saturday the 22nd August 2015.
What we have tried to create for the Garvz Sports Academy through the match day is everything a player would
experience except actually playing the game. This has proven to be a rewarding occasion for Sharks Kidz. Not only
does your child experience the excitement of the game but it also allows him to gain a greater understanding and
perception of how the professional rugby player prepares before, during and after the game as they line the
tunnel before the teams run onto the field, walk around the field at half time waving to the crowd, absorbing the
atmosphere and finally as they run onto the field at the end of the game to give the Sharks or opposition
something to eat or drink and congratulate them on playing a great game.
If you can’t make the game please return the ticket as another Garvz Sports Academy member would love to
come.
Please note that we will be operating a pre-match Kidz zone on KP 7 (near band stage), from 15:00–16:15 and
would like to see your child there to have fun with the Garvz coaches and get into the hype of the upcoming
game.
Please ensure that you have your child at the tractor gate (gate that is used for vehicles to drive onto the field,
near Ramp 1, behind the Northern Scholars, and nearest main gate 1 of stadium) at 16H30 (The gate only opens
then) where I or one of my staff will be there to meet and look after them for the evening.
The dress code is takkies, white shorts, Sharks Kidz Shirt and also don’t forget the match ticket (Which has the
Garvz Sports Academy Stamp on the back for proof of membership). Can I please ask you that you collect your
child no longer than 10 mins after the final whistle at the same drop off point (The kids will not be allowed to
leave until you have personally collected them from the Shark Net behind the Northern Try Line).
Please note if you are not totally comfortable leaving your child in our capable hands rather than not bring your
child to the game we do have extra seats (as long as you have a ticket for them), close by for you to keep a
close eye on your loved one. Please contact the office for further seating details and our helpers on the day will
assist you as well.
Please note we offer awesome kidz birthday parties at various venues and can assure you it will be a day yourself
and your child will never forget!! All you need to do is supply the kidz and leave everything else up to us!!
Garvz Sports Academy will be training right through to the 27th November2015, excluding school holidays, where we
will break and resume next year beginning of January 2016. Please note no training on Public Holidays or school Holidays.
