“Win one of four VIP nights for a Habs game at the Bell Centre” RULES CONTEST PERIOD 1. The “Win one of 4 VIP nights for a Habs game at the Bell Centre” contest is organized by the Federation des caisses Desjardins du Québec (the “contest organizers”). It will begin few days after it is confirmed that the Canadiens will be going to the playoffs (approximately March 28, 2017) (12:01 a.m. ET) and will continue for as long as the team keeps playing. (the “Contest Period”). ELIGIBILITY 2. To be eligible for the contest, participants must, during the Contest Period: - Be Canadian residents - Have reached the age of majority in their province of residence before entering the contest - Be a member of a Desjardins caisse in Quebec or Ontario (the “Eligible Participants”) The following persons are not eligible for the contest: - Employees and managers of the Personal Services, Payments and Desjardins Group Marketing Executive Division, and all persons residing with them - Directors and officers of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec and the Fédération des caisses populaires de l’Ontario Inc., and all persons residing with them - Employees, managers, directors and officers of the Club de hockey Canadiens Inc. and anyone living with them - Employees, executives, administrators and officers of the agencies involved in promoting this contest (Bob et Touché!) and all persons with whom they reside. HOW TO ENTER 3. To enter the contest and be eligible for the different drawings, eligible participants must, during the registration periods below, register in the following ways: - Go to the contest page at www.canadiens.com/desjardins and complete the entry form for the draw they wish to enter in - Confirm having read and accepted the contest rules - Submit the form Registration period for draw 1: few days after it is confirmed that the Canadiens will be going to the playoffs, until 11:00 a.m. two days before the second home game in Round 1. Registration period for draw 2 (Once it is confirmed that the Canadiens are moving on to Round 2): the day after it is confirmed that the Canadiens will move on to Round 2 until 11:00 a.m. two days before the second home game in Round 2. Registration period for draw 3 (Once it is confirmed that the Canadiens are moving on to Round 3): the day after it is confirmed that the Canadiens will move on to Round 3, until 11:00 a.m. two days before the second home game in Round 3. Registration period for draw 4 (Once it is confirmed that the Canadiens are moving on to Round 4): the day after it is confirmed that they will move on to Round 4, until 11:00 a.m. two days before the second home game in Round 4. Contest entries are recorded when the Contest Organizer receives the form. 4. Limit: Entries are limited to one per eligible person per draw. An Eligible Participant may enter once for each draw. PRIZES 5. A total of four (4) prizes could be awarded. Each prize will consist of: - Two (2) tickets for a Montreal Canadiens game at the Bell Centre in the Club Desjardins section, which includes complimentary food concessions One (1) parking space Meeting with one (1) former Canadiens player in the Alumni Lounge One meal for two (2) at the 9-4-10 restaurant Two (2) autographed jerseys from a selection of predetermined players, to be awarded on site or sent later through the mail. A tour of the press gallery Each prize is valued at approximately $2,750, for a total value over the course of the Contest Period of approximately $11,500. Winners are responsible for all expenses not listed above. DRAW 6. Four (4) draws will be held on the following dates: - Draw 1: Two days before the second home game in Round 1. Registration period: few days after it is confirmed that the Canadiens will be going to the playoffs, until 11:00 a.m. two days before the second home game in the first round. - Draw 2: Two days before the second home game in Round 2. Registration period (Once it is confirmed that the Canadiens are moving on to round 2): the day after it is confirmed that the Canadiens will move on to Round 2, until 11:00 a.m. two days before the second home game in round two. - Draw 3: 2 days before the second home game in Round 3. Registration period (Once it is confirmed that the Canadiens are moving on to round 3): the day after it is confirmed that the Canadiens will move on to Round 3, until 11:00 a.m. two days before the second home game in Round 3. - Draw 4: 2 days before the second home game in Round 4. Registration period (Once it is confirmed that the Canadiens are moving on to round 4): the day after it is confirmed that they will move on to Round 4, until 11:00 a.m. two days before the second home game in Round 4. All draws will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the offices of the Contest Organizer in Montreal. Winners will be chosen by a random draw from all eligible entries received during each period contest. If a participant’s name is selected in one of the random draws, they are not eligible for any subsequent draws. 7. The chances of an Eligible Participant’s name being randomly drawn will depend on the number of eligible entries received during each registration period. GENERAL CONDITIONS 8. To be declared a winner, the randomly selected participant must also meet the following conditions: 8.1 Be contacted by telephone by the Contest Organizer within twelve (12) hours of the draw 8.2 Confirm that they meet the eligibility conditions and other requirements set forth in these contest rules. 8.3 Correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question. 8.4 Sign the declaration and release form (the “Declaration Form”), which the Contest Organizer will send by email, and return it within twelve (12) hours of receipt Failure to comply with any of the above conditions or any other condition in the contest rules will result in disqualification of the selected participant. In such a case, the Contest Organizer may, at its discretion, cancel the prize or hold another draw in accordance with the contest rules until another participant is selected and declared a winner. The same conditions will apply, subject to any necessary modifications, if required. 9. Within twelve (12) hours of receipt of the Declaration Form, the Contest Organizer will send an email to the winners to inform them of the delivery terms of their prize. If a selected participant declines their prize, the Contest Organizers will be released from all obligations related to the awarding of said prize and may, at their discretion, cancel the prize or hold a new draw in accordance with the procedure described in the previous section. 10. Verification. Entry forms and Declaration Forms are subject to verification by the Contest Organizers. Any entry form that is, as the case may be, incomplete, inaccurate, illegible, reproduced mechanically or by hand, mutilated, fraudulent, obtained from an unauthorized source, submitted or sent in late, or that contains an invalid or otherwise unreachable telephone number, may be rejected and will not be considered, as the case may be, for entry or a prize. 11. Disqualification The contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify any individual or void one or more entries of any individual who enters or attempts to enter this contest by any means that violate these rules or are unfair to other entrants (e.g., use of fraudulently obtained entry forms, entries submitted after the permitted time limit, computer hacking, use of a “voting group,” use of a false name) will be automatically disqualified and may be reported to legal authorities. 12. Contest operation. Any attempt to sabotage the legitimate conduct of this contest constitutes a violation of civil and criminal laws. In the event of such attempts, the Contest Organizer reserves the right to reject the participant’s entries and seek redress under the law. 13. Acceptance of prize. Prizes must be accepted as described herein and may not, in any case, be transferred, in whole or in part, to another person, substituted for another prize or exchanged for money, unless otherwise stated in the rules. 14. Limitation of liability: use of prize. Winners release the Contest Organizer and persons on whose behalf the contest is held from any liability with respect to damages resulting from them entering the contest, accepting or using the prize. Winners acknowledge that upon receipt of the communication confirming their prize, the fulfilment of the obligations related to the prize becomes the full and exclusive responsibility of the various goods and services suppliers. Winners commit to sign a declaration and exemption form for that purpose. Winners recognize that the only applicable prize warranty is the usual manufacturer warranty. 15. Limitation of liability: contest operation. The Contest Organizer and the persons on whose behalf the contest is held will not be held liable for the malfunction of any computer component, software or line of communication, the loss or absence of network communication or any communication that is defective, incomplete, incomprehensible or deleted by any computer or network, and which may limit or prevent anyone from reading the contest rules. They also waive all liability with respect to any damage or loss that may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by any website or software or other download, and the transmission of any information concerning contest participation. More precisely, if the administration, security, equity, integrity or contest progress is corrupted or heavily compromised (computer virus, bug, modifications, unauthorized interventions, fraud, technical failure or any other cause), the Contest Organizer reserves the right, without notice, to cancel, modify, extend or interrupt the contest. 16. Limitation of liability: Receipt of entries. 17. The Contest Organizers and persons on whose behalf the contest is held are not responsible for lost, misdirected, or late entries, including for reasons involving postal service problems or any breakdown for any reason whatsoever of the website during the Contest Period, including any damage to the Participant’s computer or mobile device. 17. Limitation of liability: Inability to act. The Contest Organizer and persons on whose behalf the contest is held will not be held liable in any way in the event their inability to act results from a fact or a situation beyond their control, or from a strike, lockout or any other labour conflict in the organizations or companies whose services are used to hold the contest. 18. Contest changes. The Contest Organizer reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest, in whole or in part, should human intervention or an event occur that could alter or affect the administration, security, impartiality, or conduct of the contest as provided for in the contest rules. The Contest Organizer cannot be held liable in any way. 19. Termination of the contest. In the event that the contest must be terminated, in whole or in part, for any reason, before the closing date stipulated in these rules, the Contest Organizer may proceed, at its discretion, with a draw from among the entries duly received and registered up to the date of the event ending the contest. 20. Prize limit. Under no circumstances will the Contest Organizer be required to award more prizes than indicated herein or award a prize other than in compliance with these rules. 21. Limitation of liability: contest entry. Individuals entering or attempting to enter this contest release the Contest Organizer and persons on whose behalf the contest is held from all liability for any damages that they may suffer as a result. 22. Authorization. By accepting a prize, the winner authorizes the Contest Organizer and its representatives to use, if required, their name, photograph, image, voice, place of residence and/or declaration relating to the prize for advertising purposes, without any compensation. 23. Communication with Participants. There will be no communication or correspondence with participants in relation to this contest, except as described in these contest rules or at the Contest Organizers’ initiative or to obtain consent to use entries from participants who entered the contest without purchase or consideration. 24. Personal information. Participants’ personal information collected for this contest will be used only for the administration of the contest. No communications, commercial or otherwise, unrelated to this contest will be sent to participants, unless they have otherwise agreed. 25. Ownership. The contest entries and Declaration Forms are the property of the Contest Organizers and will not in any case be returned to participants. 26. Decision. Contest participants agree to these rules and that any decisions made by the Contest Organizer are final and without appeal. 27. Severability. If a section of these rules is declared or deemed illegal, unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that section will be considered null and void, but all other sections that are not affected will be enforced to the extent permitted by law. 28. In the event of a discrepancy between the French and English versions of these rules, the French version shall prevail. 30.
