Website: www.pta-events.co.uk/jpa Email: [email protected] 23rd May 2016 Dear Parents/Guardians JPA Football Fiesta - Saturday 2nd July 2016 Year 7 and 8 We are pleased to invite all Year 7 and Year 8 students to the JPA Football Fiesta on Saturday 2nd July. The Fiesta is a fun football tournament for all Year 7 and 8 students and we will be joined by the Year 6 students starting in September and their families. There will be separate tournaments for each Year Group. Each team should have a maximum of 8 players (only 6 on the pitch at any given time). The students should organise their own teams with other students from the same House or Year Group. Each team must decide their team colours and team name. The entry fee is £5 per student and bookings should be made now on the new JPA website www.ptaevents.co.uk/jpa On checkout you will be asked the name of your team, the names of the players in your team and the team captain. Team entry to the tournament will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so please book as soon as possible. The final deadline for entries is 13th June 2016. Once we have definitive numbers for the day we will be able to finalise the timings but provisionally we expect the Year 6 tournament to run 9am-11am and the Year 7 and Year 8 tournaments to run 11am-2pm. We would like the Year 7 and 8 students to arrive in time to support the end of the Year 6 tournament. We will be running stalls during the day with hot food, drinks, cakes and Judd merchandise. Please bring some cakes for the cake stall – small, individual cakes are always popular. In order to run this event, we need parents to volunteer to be referees, please. The rules of the day are very simple (no offsides!). All students who introduce a referee will receive two vouchers for free bacon rolls or hot dogs! You may volunteer to referee on the JPA website under ‘Can You Help’ on the right hand side, or email [email protected] We will provide full event rules and details once numbers are finalised. Please note that shin pads must be worn and all boys must bring trainers as some matches will be played on the Astroturf Pitch. Additionally, boys may choose to bring moulded boots for matches on grass (although trainers will suffice). Metal studs or blades may not be worn. We look forward to seeing as many supporters as possible on the day. Kind regards The JPA Committee HEADMASTER ROBERT MASTERS B.SC.
