Player Itinerary–June 27, 2015
Pre-Game Prep




Help your team out! Encourage your friends and family to donate online. The team that
raises the most money before the game gets to pitch a kickball to the other team during
the game for an easy out—and kids in King County win.
Hit the batting cage…we hear every year that players wished they did this.
Dig out your favorite baseball glove (and bat if you’ve got one!) and bring it Saturday.
Get a good night’s rest and be on time Saturday.
Game Day @ Safeco Field

CLUBHOUSE OPENS

PLAYERS ARRIVE AND SUIT UP
 Park in 1 South parking lot behind the Safeco Field garage (map attached).
 The Mariners attendant will direct you to the Players Tunnel entrance.
 Players will be met by a staff greeter for check-in process. You’ll be asked to
sign a player and photography waiver.
 Players will then be shown to the men’s and women’s clubhouse lockers. If
players have guests with VIP reception tickets, staff can direct them to the
reception.
 Food and beverages will be provided in the clubhouse locker room.
 Players will be provided with official jerseys and hats.
 Please bring the following:
- Tennis or turf shoes. Cleats are not allowed on the field.
- Light-colored baseball pants, jeans or shorts.
- Your favorite softball or baseball glove and bat.

 Dan Wilson will welcome all players and give a few highlights of the day.

BOTH TEAMS TAKE THE FIELD TO WARM UP:
Team Dan—batting practice
Team Jay—outfield
 Teams will be divided into groups for warm-up. The lineup will be posted in
the locker room.
 Softball pitchers have been recruited and will be on the field warming up with
the teams.
 VIP ticket holders are on the warning track. Please sign autographs & take
pictures as time allows.

FIELD PREP FOR THE GAME
 Now’s a good opportunity to take a quick break in the clubhouse. Players
must be lined up in the dugout for player introductions by 3 p.m. sharp.

PLAYER INTROS, NATIONAL ANTHEM, FIRST PITCH
 All players will be in the dugout. When your name is called during
introductions, come forward and wave to the crowd.

GAME BEGINS
 The game will be six innings long, approximately 1.5 hours.
 Fans will have the opportunity to influence the outcome of the game through
in-stadium fundraising and other “Power-Up” opportunities during the game.
What this means to players: Your team may get an at-bat with a crazy hitting
implement.
 Be flexible and have fun!
POST-GAME




Sign autographs for fans.
500+ kids will be running the bases after the game.
Meet up with your family & friends in the Interview Room for food & drinks.
Staff will meet players at the Clubhouse/Interview room and help players
with an easy exit if needed.
