Wilmslow 2-1 Stratford

Wilmslow 2-1 Stretford
Luka puts in a firm challenge right at the off (Roy Keane eat your heart out !!)
the subsequent free-kick is well
defended. Two shots come in from
Wilmslow and both are saved by the
Stretford goalie.
Wilmslow win 2 corners in quick
succession which result in two great
corners fizzed in from Matt.
Strong defence from Wilmslow again with
Luka and James looking a formidable
partnership (Ferdinand and Vidic esq for all you city fans !!!!).
Wilmslow are looking good on the attack with Matt, Aidan and Ollie. A shot
from Kyle fizzes wide.
A Stretford player goes down under and strong challenge and rolls around.
The whistle goes which ends a third of hard battling by Wilmslow.
What a start!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kyle scores to relieve the pressure from Wilmslow.
Aidan makes a run and the ball goes off for a throw in followed by a shot from
Aidan which fizzes wide.
Wilmslow are looking
good. A great run by
Hamza. Good attack with
Aidan and Kyle and great
defence by James.
Stretford score against
the run of play and the
pressure is back on.
A great throw from Dan but unfortunately the ball goes off and the Stretford
goalie takes a goal kick. An excellent save from the Stretford goalie just stops
Aidans shot and what looked like a certain goal. Another firm save from man
of the match Ollie he is looking awesome today, what did he have for
breakfast ???. The second third ends 1 -1 with all to play for in the third third.
And again Kyle scores in the opening attack of the third. Can anyone see a
pattern here? WOW
And this time a Nani like celebration matches the
goal !!
More great goalkeeping from
Ollie.
A wonderful attack and again
nearly score, Wilmslow are
looking good !!.
A great free-kick is taken by
Kyle and just goes over the bar.
Luka kicks the ball over the Wilmslow bar for a corner.
As the tension grows the crowd and managers start biting their nails, yet
another fantastic save by Ollie. The pressure is on !, A good defensive header
by Hamza. Strong defence from Wilmslow takes action and is definitely
needed as Stretford are growing stronger in attack.
Nervous words from Stretford’s manager and a sprint to retrieve the ball from
behind the goal indicates the need for them to win the match. Aaaaah!
Oooooh!
Some more nail biting from the fans as Ollie performs a great saving save.
Phew! The tension drops as the full time whistle blows and a strong
undefeated Wilmslow side stride off the pitch.
Wilmslow win 2-1
