JA BizTown Student Goals
Upon completion of the JA BizTown program, students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the free enterprise system.
2. Build money management skills through a practical knowledge of
economic concepts and banking practices.
3. Develop an understanding of basic business practices and
responsibilities.
4. Demonstrate the soft skills necessary for their successful
participation in the world of work.
5. Discuss the roles they, as citizens, play in their community as
workers and consumers, and relate these personal roles to the free
enterprise system.
6. Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of nonprofit
organizations in our communities.
7. Discuss the importance of citizen rights and responsibilities in a
community.

Please either fax your JA BizTown Prep paperwork to 704-5634864 or bring it in with you the day of your JA BizTown visit with
the completely filled out JA BizPrep packets.
Remember to have the student citizens fill out their checkbooks
to match the example in the prep packets that you received with
the curriculum.
