Dynamic Duo’s is a project that connects the world of youth with
those of professionals. It is important that youth and
professionals interact in a different way with each other, learn
from each other and take each other seriously. In an open and
tolerant Rotterdam, youth will participate and will be more
involved. Dynamic Duo’s supports this.
In Dynamic Duo’s youth gets linked to professionals. The youth learn from the knowledge
and experience of the professionals. The professionals learn from the unrestrained
enthusiasm and openness of the youth. Dynamic Duo’s makes people aware that every
individual has something to contribute.
Dynamic Duo is a free format. You make agreements about when and where you meet and
what the purpose of your Dynamic Duo is. Within the project Dynamic Duo’s the main
focus is on ‘meetings to inspire and motivate’. Based on the background and interests, we
make a match between youth and professionals. These so-called Dynamic Duo meet
regularly with each other for a (self-determining) period. One of the main objectives
within a Dynamic Duo is that both partners learn from each other.
The Dynamic Duo's project is aimed at young people
who wish to develop their talents and benefit from the
many opportunities in society. Youth gets linked to
professionals .
For youth it is instructive to associate with professionals
on topics such as learning, working, training, business,
arts, sports, culture, identity. You can use one's
knowledge and experience, without that you are
required to do something with it. At the same time
someone is interested in you as younger person. For
adults, it is good experience to share your experiences
with the youth. You can show the other person your
world, but it's also fun to learn how open young people
stand in life.

Who are you?
‘My name is Anouschka Biekman, I’m 28 years old and I work as a
project leader on behalf of the project Dynamic Duo’s of the
organization ‘YOURWORLD’. I practise this function for several years
now and enjoy it very much. I have studied ‘HEAO’, which is:
International Communication. At this moment I study a parttime
education called social science that combine the study fields Work,
Organization and Management as well at the Erasmus University in
Rotterdam.’
What functions do you practise within Dynamic Duo’s?
’My activities strongly focuses on selling the concept of Dynamic Duo’s to other
companies/organizations, organanizing events, moulding operation and communication
activities. Next to these tasks I manage the time, budget and quality of the project that I
work for. I lead the project and our project team. I am absolutely satisfied with my team and
I certainly am convinced that we will succeed fully.’
What features do you appreciate of the project Dynamic Duo’s?
‘I think it is good to see that adults are involved in the ‘Year of the Youngsters’. In this way the
youngsters are able to experience all the knowledge and experiences that are captured in our
beloved Rotterdam. The youngsters do also get the chance to involve the adults into their field of
experiences. We get to learn from each other and that is exactly what makes this project beautiful.’
Who are you?
’ My name is Dwight Krolis, I am 25 years old and work from
the first of March 2009 3 to 4 days in a week for the project
Dynamic Duo’s in YOURWORLD. Before YOURWORLD I have
worked for 1,5 year as an accountancyspecialist for the
company ‘Tempo Team employment agency’. I am fully
employed in Facility management which I have studied at the
Hague University. Next to work I love to sport and I especially
love to play soccor. I play 4 times a week for the association
‘VV Noordwijk’.
What functions do you practise within Dynamic Duo’s?
I focus on the match between the duo’s and I make sure that the registrations develop. I find
it also very important to stay in contact with the current contacts of Dynamic Duo’s. I do
think that we did not start the way we should have start in the beginning of our project but
have rectified rapidly. We are back on track and function very well. We receive daily a large
number of new duo’s and in the next period of time we will organize a lot of new events. I
recommend everybody to keep an eye on our website.’
What features do you appreciate of the project Dynamic Duo’s?
‘What attracts me most is that the concept of Dynamic Duo’s allows the duo’s to determine
themselves how to fill in their programme during their partnership. I truly believe that this
type of coorporation hits inspirational meetings. Futhermore I like the fact that youngsters
are able to share their knowledge and way of thinking with adults.’
