Time:
9.30 am for a 10am start.
Round 1 – played by 10 March – Week 6
Round 2 – played by 31 March – Week 8
Semi finals and Finals at Leeton Golf Club ~ Friday 7 April 2017
Venue:
Rounds 1 and 2 are to be negotiated amongst the players to play at a venue to minimise travel at the
discretion of the home player.
The first mentioned player in the odd numbered rounds is the home player. The second mentioned
player in the even rounds is the home player.
Semi Finals and Final will be played at the Leeton Golf Club on Friday 7 April 2017.Players will be
notified of tee times prior to these matches.
Entry:
School – all entry forms must be signed by the Principal and Sports Organiser
Cost:
Will be met by the competitors at the home club venue. Semi and Final costs at Leeton Gold club to
be advised.
Additional Information:
1. No Maximum Handicap
2. Schools may enter a number of competitors
3. A draw will be balloted to 16 players with preference given to lower handicapped
players
4. Nominations close 10 February 2017

5. No late entries please
6. The winners will qualify to represent the Riverina at the State Match Play Finals
held at Tuncurry Golf Club on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 May 2017.
7. Matches are to be played over 18 holes – in the event of a squared match – sudden
death rule applies
8. The event is to be played off scratch
9. All golfers must have a current AGU handicap and a copy of their last 8 rounds with
them for the Semi and Finals – these are readily available off the Golf Link website.
If unable please contact the Riverina Golf Convenor prior to the event.
10. Correct and appropriate attire must be worn – a polo shirt and appropriate footwear
must be worn.
11. No competitor is to have any assistance from a caddy, parent or any outsider.
Breaches of this may result in disqualification and loss of the match
12. Any disputes should be referred to the club professional on the day for adjudication
under the rules of golf and the Riverina Golf Convener
Students should enter knowing that there is a commitment to the semi and finals
day. If you are unable to attend please let the convenor know prior to this day as
other players need to be informed and it is just good manners.
