How to submit a plumbing application online
All registered users with access to MyCouncil
Services can submit a plumbing application
online.

Tick the “I Agree to the Terms and
Conditions” and click Continue.
Lodging an application

Log in to MyCouncil at
http://mycouncil.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au.
Submit applications

On the right of the Dashboard, access
MyCouncil Services through Personal
Access or Business Access (this depends
on your registration).
Select the group that describes the type of
work to be completed. For example
Commercial or Domestic and if the property
is Sewered or Non Sewered.
Provide category details

Select all applicable categories and click
Next.
The MyCouncil Services screen displays.

Scroll to Applications & Searches and click
Submit an Application.

Note: Categories that are assigned at this point
in the process will be assigned the appropriate
charges. It is critical at this point that the
correct categories are assigned here as this
is what controls the raising of charges.
Apparatuses*” must contain a value for the
number of fixtures and number of apparatuses
otherwise the application will error.

otherwise the application will error.

Complete the mandatory fields and click
Next.
Note: Please ensure the description field includes
all applicable work. If the application is for a
tenancy fit out, please record tenancy name
and/or number in this field. Please ensure that no
symbols such as *%() are used.

Search for the Property by either the
Address tab or the Land Details tab (if
locating the property by Lot and Plan).

Select the correct record if more than one
property displays and click Next.

Repeat this process for all files
Note: Asterisks denotes a mandatory upload of a
document.
Other related property
10. If the application is lodged on multiple
properties/land parcels, repeat the search
and click Add and click Next. If there are no
other related properties, click Next.
12. Click Next.
Summary information
13. A summary of the application displays.
Verify the details are correct.
14. If the details are incorrect you can navigate
to any of the previous pages form the menu
on the left.
Note: You can remove properties from the list
that you have added incorrectly by clicking the X.
File attachments
11. Upload any files relevant to your application
that meet the file type requirements:

Select the attachment type.

Click Browse and select your
document.

Type in a File Title and add a
description if necessary.

Click Upload.
Note: Please check the Amount Due at the
bottom of the screen. If the amount appears to be
incorrect, it may be that the incorrect categories
were selected at Step 6. At this stage categories
cannot be amended or added, therefore the
application will need to be cancelled and started
again.
15. If the details are correct click Continue.

Payment cart
16. If more than one payment is in the cart
ensure the correct payment/s are ticked and
click Proceed.
18. Secure Payment Service – Enter the credit
details and click Continue.
Payment confirmation
19. The Payment Details display.
Options are provided for the user to email
the receipt to the email address displayed
(or to amend to another email address) or to
Print a copy.
Payment summary
17. Check the displayed information then click
Complete.
