Year 6 Tests Reading 1 Reading comprehension test – 1hour Maths 1 arithmetic test – 30 minutes 2 reasoning tests – 40 minutes Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS) 1 short answer paper – 45 minutes 1 spelling test – 20 minutes (approx) Year 6 Tests Monday 9th May Tuesday 10th May Wednesday 11th May Thursday 12th May - Reading GPS Arithmetic & 1st Reasoning 2nd Reasoning • Children’s raw score converted to a scaled score (above and below 100 which will be deemed at the expected standard) • Test results are stand alone judgements Year 2 Reports • Teacher assessment for Reading, Writing and Maths – working towards the expected standard – working at the expected standard – working at greater depth within the expected standard • Teacher assessment for Science – working at the expected standard Year 6 Reports • Scaled score in Reading, Maths and GPS tests and confirmation of whether the pupil has achieved the national standard (i.e. 100 or more). • Teacher assessment in Writing – working towards the expected standard – working at the expected standard – working at greater depth within the expected standard • Teacher assessment in Reading, Maths and Science – working at the expected standard
