Notes Expand the navigation menu and select Sourcing à Auctions à My Auctions. Under ´Auctions´, you will see a list of auctions you’ve been invited to. The title, status, start time, end time, and Buyer Organization will be displayed for each auction. As soon as an Auction is published, you will receive an email notification. From that time on you are able to view the event details in SCM STAR. This includes the auction settings, attachments provided by the buyer, auction items (in multi-item auctions), and a currencies list for multicurrency events. The buyer is still able to edit the event settings, which would also trigger an email notification to all invited suppliers. (Status: ‘To be Confirmed’) In the next step the buyer confirms the auction, meaning that the event settings are now fixed. The ‘Auction Monitor’ symbol appears and the event status changes to ‘Confirmed’. Launch the Auction Monitor 1. Find the Auction you’re invited to, and click on the Auction Monitor icon. A new window will pop up and ask you to choose how you want to view the auction. Choose the Java option. To launch the Auction Monitor, please make sure you are running the auction in: a. Internet Explorer 9.0 or above b. Google Chrome and Firefox have shown practical proof, however not formally supported by Bravo c. Java 1.8 or higher Click Enter to confirm selection. The Auction Monitor will load. 2. The Auction Monitor icon will only appear in the Monitor column for Auctions with a Confirmed, Running, Suspended, Terminated, Not Awarded, or Awarded status. The Auction Monitor can be accessed earliest 10 minutes before the event’s starting time. Ensure in the supplier Training, that Java is running properly. Select the Lot that you would like to bid on Click into the Unit Price box and enter your bid. Please make sure the bid (sum of all Sub Totals) is compliant with the settings displayed in the Auction Details. · Please notice that during a Sealed Bid auction your bid will be a final bid! As a reminder, the auction console will display a message during the whole auction that this auction is in BAFO (Best and Final Offer) – Mode. 2. Please note that this description explains how to place bids in a “Multi-Item Auction”. SCM STAR offers “Single-Item Auctions” in addition, where only one item is purchased. Click the ‘Submit’ button in order to send your new bid or click ‘Reset’ to delete the entered bid. Once you have clicked ‘Submit’, a pop-up box will ask if you want to confirm your bid submission. Click ‘OK’ to confirm. Once the final bid is submitted, a pop-up will notify you that this must be your Best and Final Offer. After that bid, you are not able to do any further bids. Click ‘OK’ to continue bidding. Modify Auction Bids 1. Modify Bids that are Incompliant with Threshold The threshold set by buyer that is shown at the upper left corner of the auction monitor needs to be lower than your submitted bid (in case of a Sell-Side direction) or even higher (in case of a Buy-Side direction). 1. Click ‘OK’ if the notification appears to inform you that the bid is not low enough or is too low. Update your price in the Unit Price cell(s) so the bid value is compliant. Manage Auction Messages 1. Create and Send Messages to the Buyer To communicate with the Buyer Organization during the auction, you can use the Message feature within the Auction monitor to communicate with the Operation Center or to reply on a Sealed Bid request (2 nd round) of the Initiator in case the Reserve Price was not met: During the running phase messages within the Auction Monitor will be answered by the Operation Center (event support) only. 1. Click the ‘Message’ tab in the Auction Details section. 2. Click the ‘New Message’ button at the bottom of the tab. 3. Type your message into the pop-up text box. 4. Auction Closing Notification When the auction has ended, you will receive a pop-up notification that the lot is closed for technical checks. You will no longer be able to place bids for the lot. Click ‘OK’ in the pop-up notification. Exit the Auction Monitor or continue to bid on other running lots. After the event has ended you will receive an email notification to inform you about the awarding decision. Bidding on other lots is only available if you are invited to multiple events (lots) at a time, In this case there will be multiple lines displayed in the header of your Auction Monitor. Version 1 7
