ENTRIES CLOSE: JUNE 14, 2017 AT 4:30 P.M. (PDT)
CONDITIONS – The Sahalee Players Championship (SPC)
Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and
schedules herein. The Committee reserves the right to rescind the
invitation of any contestant, at any time, for any reason. Any
decision by the Committee, in any matter, is final.
HOTELS/ACCOMODATIONS – The SPC Committee has set up a
special rate at the following hotels. Contestants should identify
themselves as Sahalee Players Contestants when making
reservations and must be made prior to June 5, 2017:

ELIGIBILITY – Entry into the championship is by invitation only.
ENTRIES – Invitees must enter the championship by completing
and returning the SPC entry form mailed with the invitation. Invitees
may also enter online at www.sahaleeplayerschampionship.com
beginning February 1, 2017.
An entry fee of $260 (U.S. funds) must accompany each entry form.
Signed and completed entries, along with the appropriate fee, must
be received by the Sahalee Players Championship Committee by
4:30 p.m. (PDT) on June 14, 2017. Late or incomplete entries or
entries sent by telephone, e-mail, or fax will not be accepted. Entries
should be mailed early to allow ample time for delay or error. The
Sahalee Players Championship Committee, Sahalee Country Club,
and Pacific Northwest Golf Association are not responsible for lost
or misdirected mail. Refunds due to cancellation on or before June
14, 2017 are subject to a $25 service fee. NO REFUNDS WILL BE
ISSUED AFTER JUNE 14, 2017.
SCHEDULE – Competition will be contested over 72 holes of stroke
play (no cut), gross scores only:
TUESDAY, JULY 4 - Practice Rounds - 12:30 P.M. Shotgun; Annual Players
Dinner to follow.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 5 – (A.M.) First Round, 18 holes
TUESDAY, JULY 6 – (A.M.) Second Round 18 holes; (P.M.) Third Round,
18 holes.
FRIDAY, JULY 7 – (A.M.) Final Round, 18 holes.
Competitor with the lowest scorer after 72 holes is the champion.
Any tie for the lowest score will be played off hole-by-hole
immediately following the completion of the final round until a
champion is determined.
PRIVATE HOUSING – Limited Private housing will be available for
contestants on a first-come, first- served basis. Requests must be
submitted by June 1. Housing is available only to the contestants,
not his caddie or family. Players wishing to obtain private housing
must indicate so on the entry form. All other players are responsible
for making their own reservations for hotel accommodations.
REGISTRATION - All players must register on Tuesday, July 4.
Registration will be located in the Rick Acton Room inside the
Sahalee Country Club Clubhouse, beginning at 10:00 A.M.
CADDIES – A player may provide his own caddie. Players wishing
to employ a host club caddie must make arrangements directly with
the pro shop. Availability of host club caddies will be on a first-come,
first-served basis.
PRACTICE ROUNDS – Practice Rounds will be held on Tuesday,
July 4 with a shotgun start at approximately 12:30 P.M. The Annual
Players Dinner will follow the completion of the round.
The Sahalee Country Club practice facilities will open Tuesday, July
4 for contestant use and will be open throughout the week.
FOOTWEAR – Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless
of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of
design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (if such metal
may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the
stipulated round. PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION:
Disqualification.
DRESS CODE – The following dress code applies to both players
and caddies, and must be strictly adhered to: Tailored slacks or
shorts, with a minimum 6" inseam, are acceptable. Shirts with collars
are required, and must be worn at all times. Turtlenecks and mock
turtlenecks are considered collars. Tank tops and tee shirts are
prohibited. Denim pants, shorts, cargo pants and cut-offs are
prohibited at all times, in all areas. Athletic sweatshirts and athletic
sweatpants are not allowed. Warm-up suits and fashion sweatshirts
designed specifically for golf wear, such as those sold in the Golf
Shop, are acceptable if worn with a collared shirt. Only golf shoes
and tennis shoes are permitted on the golf course. Caps must be
worn bill forward, and must not be worn in the clubhouse. Failure to
comply with the dress code may result in disqualification from the
Sahalee Players Championship.
TRANSPORTATION – Players must walk at all times during a
stipulated round. PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION: Two
strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred; maximum
penalty per round: Four strokes. In the event of a breach between
the play of two holes, the penalty applies to the next hole. Use of
any unauthorized form of transportation must be discontinued
immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred. Otherwise,
the player is disqualified.
DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES – A player may obtain distance
information by using a device that measures distance only. If, during
a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that
is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect
his play (e.g., gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player is
in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification,
regardless of whether any such additional function is actually used.
CLOSE OF COMPETITION – The competition is closed when all
scores have been posted, the Committee has approved the results,
and the championship trophy has been presented.
