across the continental United States at the University of
Colorado. We look forward to a highly competitive and

ENDURANCE RACE
NOTICE:
The Endurance Race will be referred to as a “Fun Run” by all people involved while out
on the mountain trails. Also, we have received complaints from the Boulder Parks department in
the past about excessive and disruptive noise from people on our CU NROTC “Fun Run”.
Motivational cadences and yelling are not to take place during this evolution.
Arrival Time:
ALL Endurance Teams will arrive at 0515 on Saturday 04 March for gear issue. Teams
will arrive at Carlson Pool prepared to begin the race before their designated start time.

Gear list:
The Endurance Race staff asks that each school have one student designated to check our
gear for the race. All of the team’s gear will be checked out under that individual’s name.
There will be sign out sheets for gear and the supply staff will hold onto the designated
individual’s ID card until gear has been returned.

Below are the approximate times to get from station to station throughout the course. If
anyone wishes to see their team on the course, simply add the times below to the start
time of your team in order to get a close estimate of where they should be at a given time.
More details on these stations can be found in the Colorado Meet 2017 LOI on our

Some of the most convenient places to view the course are: The Carlson Gym Pool, Balch Field
House, Gregory Canyon Trailhead, The Realization Point, and the Buffalo (finish line) outside of
Balch Field House.

DRILL AND COLOR GUARD
NOTICE:
Ensure that NOBODY is walking around anywhere on campus with drill rifles except for
within the specifically listed competition and practice areas. If in doubt, ask your liaison
for directions to appropriate practice locations.
Arrival Time:
All Squad Drill, Platoon Drill, and Color Guard teams must show up and check in at least 20 minutes prior
to their scheduled start time to receive a pre-competition brief (See schedule below).

Directions:
*Below are directions to the Longmont Police Department Firing Range from CU NROTC’s
Battalion Spaces located at Gate 6 of Folsom Stadium (Building 79 on the campus map)*
It can take between 1 hour and 1 hour and 15 minutes to travel from Boulder to the Longmont
Range. Be sure you allocate adequate time to travel to the range. Teams will be
responsible for their own transportation to and from the range.

*Be advised, we have had issues with GPS giving proper directions to to the Longmont PD
Firing Range, so we highly recommend using this map and directions for navigation purposes*
Gear:
There will be mandatory sign out sheets in order to use any of CU NROTC’s Rifle and
Pistol gear. Our gear will all be at the Longmont Police Department Firing Range for the
duration of all the shooting events. We can provide gear to schools that need it.

AWARDS CEREMONY
Description:
There will be an Awards Ceremony at 1530 in Balch Field House to announce the
winners of the competitions as well as the winner of the overall meet. This is an all hands
event. Schools must show up by 1515 in order to organize into the proper formation for
the ceremony. There will be word from CU NROTC Battalion Commander, MIDN 1/C
Biggers as well as the Meet OIC, MIDN Bunn. Afterward, the Colorado Meet staff will
present the awards. The awards that will be given are as follows:
 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place: Endurance Race
 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place: Platoon Drill
 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place: Squad Drill
 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place: Color Guard
 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place: Rifle Team
 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place: Pistol Team
 Top Individual Rifle Shooter
 Top Individual Pistol Shooter
 Best School Overall - Colorado Meet Champion

All hands will arrive at 1515. The ceremony will commence at 1530.

Formation will be by school. Six people across, fill in the back.

HOSPITALITY
Food:
On Friday, 03 MAR, there will be granola bars and Gatorades for the Pistol shooters at
the Longmont Range.
On Saturday, 04 MAR, a small breakfast of bagels, cream cheese, peanut butter & jelly
sandwiches, fruit, and granola bars will be provided.
Lunch on Saturday, 04 MAR, will be catered by Illegal Pete’s.

We will be hosting an evening social at the Attic Bar & Bistro. All members and staff are
invited.
Appetizers will be provided with priority being given to 4/C, then 3/C, and so on up. You are
also highly encouraged to place individual orders for food. Any additional orders will be at your
own expense.
We will have an open bar for draft beers and well liquors up to a certain amount. After that, it
will be a cash bar.
Soda will also be included on the open bar.
There will be pool tables, foosball, and arcade games. Pool and Foosball are free of charge, but
arcade games require change. There is a change machine there.
There will be the opportunity to participate in various competitions such as Pool, Foosball, Water
Pong, etc. Sign-up for the competitions will be at the Attic with priority going to 4/C, then 3/C,
and so on up.
If your members wish to order food there, buy more expensive drinks, play arcade games, etc.
we suggest they bring cash to the social. But there is also an ATM machine at the location.
**Absolutely NO underage drinking will be tolerated!
- Make sure members of your school do not violate this.
- If there are violations, they will be immediately removed and their staff will be
notified.
Please be professional and respectful to the staff of Attic Bar & Bistro. Represent your schools
well and have fun.
