Erlanger Elsmere Soccer Club

Erlanger Elsmere Soccer Club
Erlanger Elsmere Soccer Club (EESC) is a division of the Northern Kentucky Soccer League (NKSL),
providing Recreational soccer for ages 4 to 17. EESC consists primarily (but not entirely) of children living in
or attending a school in Erlanger, Elsmere and/or the surrounding cities. We are a nonprofit, volunteer
organization and rely on parents to assist in coaching, maintaining fields, scheduling referees, etc. If you are
available to help in any way, please indicate on the registration form. If you have any questions, contact us at
[email protected] or the Erlanger Elsmere Soccer Hot Line at 859-429-0337. Additional
information is available at www.nksl.com or www.stadiumroar.com/erlangerelsmeresoccerclub .
NEW PLAYERS WILL BE PLACED ON TEAMS BY RANDOM DRAW. A uniform jersey is available and
will be distributed through the Club. We will accept donations of used Erlanger/Elsmere orange jerseys from
previous seasons. The player is responsible for shin guards, shoes, black shorts and black socks. Once the
teams have been created, a coach will contact you approximately two weeks prior to the first game with
practice information. Each Recreational player is guaranteed to play at least one-half of each game
throughout the season.
ERLANGER ELSMERE SOCCER CLUB PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT
The essential elements of character building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of
sportsmanship and six core principles: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good
citizenship. The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these “six pillars of
character.”
Therefore, I agree that:
1.
I will not force my child to participate in sports.
2.
I will remember that children participate to have fun, and that the game is for youth, not
adults.
3.
I will inform the coach of any physical disability or ailment that may affect the safety of my
child or the safety of others.
4.
I will learn the Laws of the Game and policies of the league.
5.
I (and my guests) will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by
showing respect and courtesy and demonstrating positive support for all players.
6.
I (and my guests) will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any
official/referee, coach, player, parent, or league official, such as taunting, using profane
language or gestures, booing or refusing to shake hands.
7.
I will not encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the health and well being
of the athletes.
8.
I will demand that my child treat other players, coaches, officials, and spectators with respect,
regardless of race, creed, color, sex or ability.
9.
I will never ridicule or yell at my child or another participant for making a mistake or losing a
competition.
10.
I will respect the officials and their authority during games and will never question, discuss, or
confront coaches at the game field and will take time to speak with coaches at an agreed
time and place. (It is required that I wait a “24 hour cooling off” period to speak with coaches
about a concern.)
11.
I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games and practices, unless I am
one of the official coaches of the team. Specifically: I will respect my child’s coach and
support his/her efforts. I will ensure that my child will attend all practices and games possible
and, when not possible, I agree to inform the coach in advance. I will respect the facilities
made available so my child can practice and play his/her respective sport. I will respect and
take care of equipment provided for my child’s use.
Failure to abide by the aforementioned guidelines may result in the dismissal of a player.
HAVE A GREAT SOCCER SEASON!
