CAMP FACTS
DEPOSIT: A non-refundable deposit must accompany
each application before or on the specified deadline.

A campus tour will be included
for campers who sign up for this service.
*All campers must have their own medical coverage.
Campers will not be allowed to participate unless the
following information is submitted and the form signed
by the parent/guardian of camper.*
HOUSING: On-campus housing will not be available.
For this reason, we have secured a hotel partnership with
the Courtyard Marriott at Dolphin Mall, who has
given us competitive pricing to host our camps. Hotel
information will be provided upon request and on our
website at www.fiusports.com
LOCATION: ALL camps will be held on the beautiful,
Modesto Maidique Campus at Florida International
University, 11200 SW 8th Street; Miami, FL 33199.
FACILITIES: All camps will take place in airconditioned facilities, US Century Bank Arena and/or
FIU Rec Center. Teams will be permitted to utilize
outdoor courts for practices or other purposes.
ATTIRE: Campers are expected to wear appropriate
basketball attire and “Camp T-shirt”, daily, during June
camp dates. Additional t-shirts will be available for
purchase. Teams are encouraged to designate a “team
uniform” during August camp dates.
CONTESTS: Campers will compete in “Hot Shot,”
“One on One,” “Free-Throw” and other fun contests.
Each camper will need to have the following
paper work to attend camp:
A signed copy of the “Camp Application”
A signed copy of the “Player Medial Release”
form
A copy of current high school or doctor
physical.
Any outstanding camp payments or fees.

MISSION STATEMENT
Cindy Russo
Head Coach – Florida International University
The head women’s basketball coach at FIU for
32 seasons, Coach Russo has built a winning
reputation with over 34 years of coaching
experience at the collegiate level. In her tenure at FIU, she has
guided the Golden Panthers to 23-consecutive winning
seasons and recently became the 13th active coach in NCAA
Division I women’s basketball to reach the 600 win plateau.
She has coached six All-Americans and has had seven former
players compete professionally in the WNBA, ABL and
USBL. A consummate teacher, Cindy Russo prides herself in
helping girls of all ages and abilities achieve their basketball
dreams. Cindy Russo’s Global Basketball Camps, Inc. has
been constructed to challenge each individual regardless of
your current level of development. Coach Russo’s staff will
group campers by ability and daily instruction will be created
to address strengths and weaknesses through individual drills
and fundamental skills development in a positive and exciting
environment. These same concepts will be prominent in all
camps, including team camp. So come prepared to give your
best effort and enhance your skills and knowledge in the game
of basketball!
The primary goals of Cindy Russo’s Global Basketball Camps,
Inc. are:
1. To stress the importance of becoming a more wellrounded player.
2. To instill in each participant a greater love and
understanding for the game of basketball.
3. To further develop the fundamentals and skill level of
each participant, helping to improve your overall
game.
Each of these goals can be achieved if YOU are willing to learn
and are ready to focus on developing and improving your allaround basketball skills!!!
