Instruction
1. Distribute Career Cluster Jeopardy Cards to each group.
2. Have a brief discussion on the assignment:
a. Students will each have their own laptop to do the research but can work
collaboratively in their group to answer the questions.
b. Each student in each group is required to write the answers on the cards they are given,
which will be turned in at the end of class.
3. Teacher will walk around and monitor group progress, answer questions, and keep student
groups on task.
4. When students are finished with questions, teacher will bring up Career Cluster Jeopardy on
Smart Board and go over rules (See Attachment) of the game and describe how points will be
awarded for correct answers.
Time: 25 minutes
Closure/Wrap Up
Roles will be assigned to students to monitor the game (See attached). Students will play during the
remaining time of class and will be awarded extra credit points for answering the questions correctly.
Notes:
The actual game of Career Jeopardy could be completed in 15 to20 minutes, but could last 30-35
minutes if a Double Jeopardy question was added or a Final Jeopardy question was added. This could be
done in a 50 minute class period, but would be better over 2 days. Spearfish is on a 90 minute block,
which is about the perfect amount of time to give the students a little more time to enjoy the
culminating game.
