ImmiAccount – How to change your
application alert preferences

ImmiAccount allows you to choose if you want to receive an alert to your email account when
your application changes status, and when the department sends correspondence about the
application.
This guide explains the steps for changing your application alert preferences.

Some correspondence sent by the department will not result in an alert.
Login to your ImmiAccount.

For information on how to login to your ImmiAccount, refer to the How to login to
ImmiAccount Quick Reference Guide.
The My applications summary page displays.
1. Click My preferences.
2. Click Manage application alerts.

The Manage application alerts page displays.
3. Click the Yes option.
4. Enter your email address.
5. Click Generate validation code message.
The Manage application alerts page resets with an information message.
If the email address you entered is the same as your ImmiAccount email address, no validation
code will be required, and the information message will instruct you to click Save (7).

If the email address you entered is different from your ImmiAccount email address, the message
will notify you that an email message containing a validation code has been sent to you.
Open the message sent to the email address you entered and obtain the validation code.
6. Enter your Validation code.
7. Click Save.

You only have 15 minutes to enter your validation code, and click Save, or you will have to
repeat the process.

The Manage application alerts page resets with a Success message notifying that your alert
preferences have been saved.
8. Click Close to return to your My applications summary page.
You have successfully changed your application alert preferences.
