Want to win a Kindle? WMS’s Summer Reading Challenge!! Who: All WMS students What: Invited to read this summer and log minutes When: Summer Break Join us this summer as we challenge all of our students to continue learning by reading over the summer months. Through your child’s google classroom titled “Summer Reading”, a google doc has been shared with all students to access and log their reading minutes this summer. All students that log a minimum of 60 minutes of reading this summer are invited to participate in a field/fun day on Friday, September 8th, 2017 in the afternoon. At the end of summer, students are asked to share the document with the designated grade level teacher on their logging sheet. For every 100 minutes logged, students will be able to enter their name into a grade level drawing in the fall for the chance to win a Kindle! Other Incentive: Barnes & Noble offers a free summer reading program to students in grades 1-6. Students can earn a FREE book by participating. 1. Students read 8 books and record the titles and their favorite part in their Summer Reading Journal. 2. They turn in their completed journal to a Barnes & Noble between May 16 and September 5, 2017. 3. They pick a FREE book listed for their grade level in the Journal.
