Charity Hockey Game to Benefit Kids with
Cancer
January 31, 2013
On Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. area law enforcement will take on local firefighters
for the annual “Guns and Hoses Charity Hockey Game”. The event will take place at Germain
Arena with former Everblades players helping the teams on the ice.
Tickets cost $16.00 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the “For the Kids
Foundation”. The non-profit childhood cancer organization is dedicated to helping children with
cancer cope with the daily regiments of being hospitalized. Services include medical assistance,
activities for hospital patients and special gifts. For more information about the charity visit their
website at www.4thekidsfoundation.org.
The ticket price also includes a tailgate party with a live band and car show before the game and
seats to the 7:30 Everblades game when the Blades battle the Greenville Road Warriors. The first
responders hope for a sellout crowd to raise money for a good cause.
The law enforcement agencies include: Fort Myers Police Department, Cape Coral Police
Department, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission,
Collier County Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office. The fire departments represented
are: Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Lehigh, Estero, Iona, South Trail, Airport and Marco Island.
*Police and firefighters will be selling tickets in front of the box office prior to the event. Only
tickets purchased through the first responders will have proceeds that go directly to the charity.
