included in this budget. Most teams incur few
travel costs to league meets because events are
held locally. About 30% of teams incur travel
expenses to the Super-Qualifiers and State
Championship

* Travel cost planning – Teams will have varying transportation, meal and lodging expenses depending on the distance to
event locations. These travel expenses could include 3 to 6 meals per student, 1 or 2 days of lodging and transportation
costs.
League events have been historically held within 1 hour of travel time from a team’s meeting place. Teams can incur
additional travel expenses when attending league events, Super-Qualifiers and the State Championship events.
• League meets and qualifying tournaments have been held in Pendleton, Hood River, Bend, Portland, Hillsboro,
Beaverton, Salem, Junction City and Roseburg.
• Non-league qualifying tournaments are held in Corvallis and Portland metro area.
• Super-Qualifiers and the State Championship are held in the Portland metro area.
Qualifying Tournaments and Super-Qualifiers are one-day events. The State Championship is a 1½-day event
