Basketball Association General
Manager
Basketball Tasmania on behalf of the Launceston Basketball Association (LBA) is
pleased to invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for
the newly created position of LBA General Manager.
The LBA has been created in order to rationalize the structure and conduct of
basketball competition and programs within Launceston. This full time position of
General Manager will be located in Launceston, Tasmania. The General Manager
will report directly to the LBA President and will be responsible for:




Secretarial duties as required in running a not-for-profit basketball association.
General administration duties as required to conduct events and programs.
Management and coordination of the Rep team program – bookings for teams,
liaising with the coaches, managers and families.
Management of the LBA database and Membership.
Management of all LBA marketing initiatives.
Coordinator for Aussie Hoops, Sporting Schools Initiative, Education Courses,
Development Academy, Holiday Camps and Specialised Coaching Programs.
Engaging and uniting all areas of the Launceston community with a focus on
building the basketball association.
Coordination of the education and training courses for Coaches, Referees,
Scoretable and Statistics.
Manage all the financial management requirements of the basketball association
– invoicing, receipting, accounts, input of financial data, ATO finance
requirements.
Building strong links with primary and high schools in the catchment area.

Other responsibilities as needed or directed by the Board of Management.






