CLUB JUNIOR CO-ORDINATOR - ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES






Wokingham Netball Club was established in 1970
It now has 8 Senior and 9 Junior teams
We are a silver CAPS accredited club, which is a kite mark issued by England Netball
Two of our junior teams are sponsored by Feltham Construction
Our training ground is Luckley Oakfield School, Wokingham
Our ambitions are to achieve promotion for all our senior teams and to increase our senior membership
Who will I work with?
 Main club committee
 Junior coaches and junior team managers
 Parents of junior members
What will I do?
 Co-ordinate entries into Junior leagues and tournaments as requested by coaches/team managers
 Organise umpires for the junior fixtures – matches and tournaments
 Liaise with the junior coaches and team managers
 Liaise with the umpiring secretary about courses available for development of juniors
 Work with club volunteer co-ordinator to develop Juniors
 Abide by and promote the club’s child protection and fair policy
 Supply information to parents of juniors about volunteer schemes available for their children – Duke of
Edinburgh and England Netball Pass on Your Passion
 Organise junior friendly matches and/or extra practice – as requested by coaches/team managers
 Co-ordinate weekly match reports for all juniors and forward these onto the publicity/website coordinator
How much time will I need to give?
 On average 2 hours a week during the playing season and minimal otherwise
 Attending meetings as and when necessary
What do I need to do this role?
 Good administration and organisation skills
 Good interpersonal skills
 Ability to work as part of a team
 Dedication to finding a solution, however hard the problem may seem
