RECORDER CLUB
Corstorphine Primary School
The recorder club proves very popular among children. A very gratifying instrument, children will learn quickly
the basic techniques and be playing popular tunes from the beginning.
The Recorder Club follows a system of Colour Bracelets (similar to the Tae-Kwondo belts), where children
progress at their own pace through levels, getting a more individualized learning experience, and keeping
them challenged and interested.
Together with recorder playing, children will learn how to read music and aural skills, and they will have
opportunities to perform solo and in a group, so it is ideal as an starting point into instrument playing, specially
wind instruments (saxophone, clarinet, flute, or similar).
Beginners and experienced players welcome.

The cost for each session is £3, paid termly.
Cost for this term is £27 (for 9 sessions)
Club dates (inclusive):
- 14th of January to 17th of March (no club on the 18th of February)
Fees are paid termly. If you wish a place in this club, please fill the inscription form at the end of this document
and hand it in together with payment to the school office no later than wednesday the 13th of January.
Payments can be made by cash or cheque made payable to Ritmico Music.
Please note that the maximum number of pupils for each club is 12. Should there be any more inscriptions, a
first come first served basis will choose the children. You will be contacted only if your child does not get a
place. If you don’t hear form us, then assume that you got a place.
