Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR)
A TFR is an area of airspace (defined
both laterally and vertically) which
has been temporarily or partially
closed to non-participatory aircraft for
a specified time. Flight restrictions
may be requested in response to the
aviation safety needs for the
segregation of aircraft for disaster
type occurrences.
