We researched, asked around and tried them out for ourselves,
and this is what we know for sure... there are a lot of mobile
applications available and everyone has an opinion.
With that said, we have whittled it down to this modest list of
10 Apps ~ that Insurance Agents may want to take a closer
look. Here they are in no particular order:

computer.

Wife of dead Mayor files death claim for Workers'
Compensation.
Sandy Collins of Ohio, has filed a suit seeking workers'
compensation for the death of her late husband Toledo's
Mayor - Michael Collins, in February, 2014. The suit contends he suffered a "compensable
injury" while carrying out the duties of his job. Mr. Collins, who was 70, died Feb. 6, five days
after suffering cardiac arrest while in his city-owned car during a city-wide snow emergency.
The suit says that Mrs. Collins filed for workers' compensation benefits, but the claim was
denied. Mrs. Collins then appealed to the Industrial Commission of Ohio, the death claim was
allowed on June 22. The Bureau of Workers Compensation appealed that decision and in
Sept. 2014 the death claim was again denied.
The mayor's vehicle crashed into a utility pole on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2014. Authorities said he
had suffered a cardiac arrest while driving. A city spokesman said he had been on a
shopping trip to Costco and that the accident site was on his way home.

Broker of Record (BOR)
In insurance, a broker of record is an agent designated by the policy holder to represent and
manage the policyholder's insurance policy. The BOR may be privy to all communications
regarding the insured including quotes, policies and notices on behalf of the policyholder.
Insurance companies recognize only one broker at a time (first come- first recognized) by the
underwriter. Upon changing your broker, you must obtain a "Broker of Record Letter"
therefore allowing the carrier to know that there is a new broker with the authority to now
manage your account until you submit in writing another BOR.
