Date, Time, and Place
The Home Run Helicopter Drop will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Dutchess
Stadium, during the Hudson Valley Baseball Classic, after the game and before the
fireworks.
Source of Funds for Winning Tickets
All tickets will be sold prior to the drop. Prize money for winning tickets will be provided
by The Home Run Helicopter Drop ticket sales and donations.
Procedures
Ball Certification
• Balls size and weight will be numbered 1 to 3,000.
• The 3,000 balls will be audited to ensure that all balls are present.
• The balls will then be placed in sealed containers and certified by a
representative of the independent accounting firm that all balls are present and
accounted for.
• The containers holding the balls will be stored in a secure location until the day
of the event.
Ball Drop
• Under the observation of Leadership Dutchess, the baseballs from the sealed
containers will be transferred into two transport containers.
• The two transport containers will be placed into the helicopter.
• The helicopter will then proceed to take off and approach the drop zone where it
will hover. The designated ball dropper, or flight team member, will release the
balls from the containers.
• Once all balls have been dropped, determination of the winners will take place.
• Participants attendance at the event or associated baseball game is purely
voluntary
• Participant assumes all risks and dangers incidental to and associated with the
game of baseball, the Event and all promotional events associated therewith,
whether occurring prior to, during or subsequent to the game or the Event,
including without limitation, thrown bats, dropped, thrown or batted balls or
other objects or promotional items entering the stands or other areas of
attendance.

Participant releases staff, representatives, event sponsors, The Chamber
Foundation, Inc., Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, the
Leadership Dutchess Class of 2014, Keystone Professional Baseball, Inc., County
of Dutchess, Dutchess County Sheriffs, and the Beacon School District, from
liability for personal injuries or damage to property caused by negligence arising
out of or relating to the Event or Participant’s attendance at the baseball game
or the Event.
Participants attendance at the event or associated baseball game is purely
voluntary
Winner Identification
• Tickets can only be purchased by individuals 18 or older. Winners must provide
photo ID to confirm date of birth.
• A member of The Leadership Dutchess Team will maintain a master list of balls
purchased, the ticket’s assigned owner and contact information at all times.
• A pre-determined member will be charged with measuring the balls that land
closest to the designated “X”.
• That member will approach the drop zone for the purpose of determining the
winners.
• The Leadership Dutchess members will determine the grand prize winning ball
based on which ball has landed closest to the designated “X”.
• Winners will then be announced at Dutchess Stadium after the Fireworks and
also posted online at www.chamberfdn.org as soon as possible after the winning
balls are determined.
• Winners need not be present to win.
Claiming of Prizes
• In cases where a winner was not present, or may not have visited the web site,
Leadership Dutchess Members will make all reasonable attempts to contact the
winner via the contact information he or she provided on the Home Run
Helicopter Drop ticket information form.
• Any prize money not claimed by June 20, 2014, will be considered unclaimed and
dedicated to The Chamber Foundation Inc.
• No purchase or contribution is necessary.
• Winners must be 18 years of age or older to claim the prize and must provide
proper id
• Winner is responsible for any applicable taxes on prizes and responsible for
filling out necessary paperwork
