Help students understand sequence of events using this
fun comic-strip template! Students can recreate a
portion of Because I Stubby My Toe or another text. Or,
they could create their own story! Could be used
creatively in content areas as well to show a sequence of
events.

Because I Stubbed My Toe includes powerful verbs. Find
great activities from ReadWriteThink that include
everything you need to teach the concept of verbs to
your students. Have fun identifying, using, and acting out
action words!
Extension Activity – Comic Strip Puzzles:
Find a comic strip and cut out each frame independently.
Have students use their sequencing skills to put the
comic strip back in order.
Extension Activity – Class Rules Cause & Effect:
Create your own cause & effect stories to showcase the
importance of school rules. What would happen if a rule
were broken? Could there be a chain of reactions like in
the story?
