Durbin Art Gallery
Enjoy our latest exhibition, Concomitant, and visit with Jim Neel ’71, Professor of Art. During the summer of 2014
Professor Jim Neel lived for a month on the Turkish/Syrian border. The works in this exhibition, which focus on the plight
of children in areas of conflict, are a result of that experience and were realized at the pottery facilities of the Kohler
Company factory in Kohler, Wisconsin. The Art Gallery will be open from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. for a self-guided tour.

Sloss Furnace metal sculptors will set up a small furnace and melt hundreds of pounds of scrap iron. Support the BSC Arts Student
League by purchasing and decorating your own 4 x 4 sand mold and watch as molten ore is poured to create your personal iron art.
Sand blocks are available for purchase on site and can be taken home that evening. Enjoy music by the Herb Trotman Band. Food
for pre-registered guests will be available at the Shrimp Boil that will be held adjacent to the Iron Pour.
