SUGGESTED READING FOR KIDS BY KIDS
If your child is looking for something new to read, stop by the Youth Services Department and pick up a
suggested reading list. Books on these lists are comprised of recommendations from Fondulac District
Library patrons in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Discover what books other kids are enjoying and
check out a title that has gotten two thumbs up!
Children who want to contribute to a suggested reading list are invited to fill out a slip with their name,
age, and the title and author of the book they enjoyed, and place it in the suggestion box located in the
Youth Services Department.
Take a look at one of the latest suggestions from a young FDL reader:
Absolutely Almost by Lisa Graff
Recommended by Alexis, age 11
Albie has never been the smartest kid in his class. He has never been the tallest. Or the
best at gym. Or the greatest artist. Or the most musical. In fact, Albie has a long list of
the things he’s not very good at. But then Albie gets a new babysitter, Calista, who helps
him figure out all of the things he is good at and how he can take pride in himself.
