Visonic New Approach to Intelligent Home Gateway (IHG)
• Phased approach to IHG development
• Start with two-box solution
– Wireless Home Security and Control System (available) and Gateway
unit (to be developed) with connection to ADSL router
– Availability
 Proof-of-concept system – Sep. 2004
 Demo version – October 2004
– One-box IHG solution with connection to ADSL router
 IHG proof-of-concept system - September 2005
 End-to-end solution with HIPP-C and Application Platforms – Dec. 2005
• Support for OSGi Framework
– Under investigation
 Implications on CPU power and memory size => BOM costing
– EnComPas Consortium decided to support non-OSGi environments
