Let’s look at East’s lineup first… LINEUP ERRORS • If two players are listed in the same position and the error is noticed before lineups are due, R2 should return the lineup and have the coach fix it. • If the error is noticed after lineups are due, the coach may either substitute the regular player (phantom sub) or designate a different libero (no penalty). • If a player is listed who is not on the roster, a point/loss-of-rally is assessed to the team for correction of the roster, and then the player is allowed to enter. Convey this to the officials with hand signals. • Keep paying attention! There’s no warning when the libero will enter and exit.
