ART + DESIGN 1
JULY 9–14, 2017
WHEN TO ARRIVE
Camp check-in for all campers is on Sunday, July 9 between 2 and 4 p.m. in the Welcome Center.
There will be an evening service, meal and an Art + Design Camp session on Sunday evening that
you won’t want to miss!
If you are making airline reservations, we suggest that you plan your arrival time before 4 p.m. on
Sunday. For free shuttle transportation from the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport
(GSP), please email your flight itinerary to [email protected] at least seven days before your
camp begins.
All day campers need to check in on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. (There will be evening activities.)
For the rest of the week (Monday–Friday), day campers may be dropped off at the Welcome Center
each morning based on the start time given in the schedule.
WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE
When you arrive on campus, follow the signs to the Welcome Center. Our camp counselors will give
you your camp schedule, room assignment (for those staying overnight) and camp T-shirt. If you
have a camp balance, you can take care of it at this time.
After receiving your materials, overnight campers can head to the residence hall to get settled in.
Day campers will have some free time in The Den until camp officially begins!
WHEN TO DEPART
Day campers may be picked up each day at 7:45 p.m. at the Welcome Center. On Wednesday
campers will enjoy a fun highlight of our camp experience, the Bruins Bash, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Art + Design 1 Camp will end on Friday, July 14 after the awards ceremony at noon in the
exhibition corridor. All parents and family members are welcome to attend the brief ceremony.
If you are making airline reservations, we suggest that you make your departure time at least two
hours following the end of camp.
