The Langley Warriors are one victory away from hoisting the West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association championship
trophy.
The Warriors hold a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Nanaimo Timbermen in the best-of-five championship series.
Langley won 7-4 in game one on Saturday afternoon at the Langley Events Centre and then 6-3 on Sunday at the
Nanaimo Ice Centre.
Game three is back at the LEC on Aug. 11 at 7 p.m.
In game one, the teams combined for seven goals in the opening 20 minutes with Langley’s Quinton Bradley putting the
Warriors ahead for good with two seconds to play in the first period.
Derek Lowe (two goals, one assist), Ian Poole (two goals), Brad Olson (one goal, three assists) and Jordan Flaman (four
assists) paced the offence. Tyler Daniels had the other goal.
Tye Belanger made 27 saves for the win.
Game two saw Langley open up a 3-0 lead as they doubled up the Timbermen 6-3.
Lowe scored twice while Flaman had a goal and an assist.
Geordie Wells, Chris Marten and Will Vanden Hooven had the other goals.
Belanger made 37 saves in goal.
